No please, continue to be obnoxiously condescending to the other people in the forum by making it seem like they are idiots for wanting compensation for dealing with a broken game. I'm assuming that everyone in this forum paid for a game that was mostly playable, and yes given the history some bugs can be expected, but locking up at least once an hour, game ruining bugs that ruin game saves, and a whole myriad of other bugs that I can't even begin to imagine (I just recently had my right anolog stick stop working in the game) is an insult. God forbid people get angry and demand compensation for paying 60 dollars for something that barely qualifies as a finished game and then talk about it in a public forum that is designed for that specific purpose.
By the way, since you want to be so condescending, entering a topic that discusses bugs, issues with them, and solutions we'd like to see and going "HURR HURR MAI GAEM WORKS FIINE, QQ LESS PLZ DEEEEEERP" is not helpful to anyone, at all, and just makes you look like a pompous [censored].
So if you don't mind, please be help people out here, and if you must be so condescending at least give people helpful options. Saying we chose to play a buggy game is crap and you know it, and it's not like we have much of a choice since A.) Bethesda does not do refunds and B.) local game stores don't do refunds for broken games. I'd say the more appropriate way to explain the current situation is that we are STUCK playing this game since we can not return it and hell, we just spent 60+ dollars on it so what else are we gonna do with it?
He has a point, bro. I've been hit with a couple of gamebreakers myself. The first one was the Steam Cloud Eats My Saves!! bug, where my autosaves got munched. Hard saves were fine. Then just yesterday I strolled into Novac only to have half of it NOT THERE AT ALL! It didn't even load the low-res long distance models. There was just a hole there. No collision, no models, no textures, no NPCs, nothing. Quicksave --> restart game --> load quicksave fixed it, but still... http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/8582/anotherm.jpg That one happened in RepConn's Test Facility. Collision was still there but no texture or model. Also, about that time I also failed Arcade Gannon's quest hours before I'd even come close to meeting him, so now I have to use the SetStage command once I hire him to fix that cockup. Then there's the DLL fix I must use because the game's using a bad copy of DirectX 9 that makes a crowded area a friggin' slideshow. Literally three FPS in Gomorrah's casino floor without that DLL. When I apply that fix I can use higher settings and still get 25+ anywhere it's crowded, and I've seen as high as 80 a few times. And then there's the random CTD's. I can't finish Pingas Kahn properly because the ending slides CTD about halfway through. 90 hours of gameplay put into him and I can't even get the ending because of an oddball crash. Then there's this wierd bug where half the time it starts just fine with Firefox running and half the time it crashes before it even gets to the main menu. When it does so, killing Firefox allows it to play just fine. Then there's the known glitch with lever action weapons where if you interrupt the reload you can't do anything for a second or two. That one bites me in the ass a lot since I rely mostly on a Trail Carbine. Then there's the clipping issues. I've got a screenshot of Pingas Kahn wearing his rifle THROUGH HIS CHEST! The Pimp-Boy 3 Billion doesn't fit my current Courier's arm worth a damn, either. It mounts tilted to the right about 30 degrees, clipping through the arm. It's also not zoomed in far enough. The Pip-Boy 3000 isn't immune to bugs, either, it's zoomed in TOO much. I can't see parts of it. Lastly, there's the countless recurring Gamebryo issues. Bad pathing, ineptitude, suicidal combat subroutines, bipolar dialogue, wonky physics, you name it.

Yet I'm not QQing about it. I'm not sitting there with a sense of entitlement. I'm not clamoring for free DLC. I'm playing the game despite the bugs. I may be using the dev console as much as I do my weapon, but I'm still playing. And you know what? It's well worth the 50 bucks I spent. Sure it's delayed fixing my truck, and likely me getting a job because of that, but I honestly don't care. Bugs or not the game's friggin' awesome and I'm not going to spam up Bethesda's forum with whining and entitlement.
