Look, i did a lot of optimizations in latest versions and even bought ATI card for half of the users and still have complains about performance, based on previous experience. Should i rename project to stop imprinting or what? The one i know for sure, will never do optimizations for the mod, it's prooved as meanless. d3d9.dll can't be the reason of slowdown, if no effects running and everything toggled off (in latest version impossible to turn off everything, because depth and color textures are still captured, i don't know when to turn off and where user use it or not). One guy few days ago told that on gtx560ti he have 8-15 fps, but i have the same on radeon 6450! And the problem was that he running MSI Afterburn, which also use hooking of d3d.
The only thing I can do now is literally turn every option in the configuration off and try it. You mean to say that even if I just a default setting of a particular ENB file and have it toggled off in-game, that it will still have the settings captured and is the cause of the slowdown? I don't run anything along with Skyrim that interferes with it. I've tried matching the video card information in the config to match mine and I haven't seen a difference (nVidia 9500gt). I do want to try it again. It's like there's three stages of performance. With no ENB installed, I have my standard FPS. With ENB installed and toggled off, it drops a few FPS. When it's toggled on, that's where the real drainage happens.
Heh, no you shouldn't stop or rename anything. You've done and are doing great work. But I seriously think ENB is truly best for people with just strong machines. I wouldn't even care if I lost 10fps if I could still run the game at 50fps, cuz I think it would still be very smooth to play. If one wants to use shaders, it's eminent there will be some FPS loss.
I'm not complaining, it's just the way it is. I'm not trying to hail on any parade. Listen ----- it looks great. I'm going to try it out again with everything off, and then move up from there and see what happens.
