So shameful to see the most popular mods for this game are the naked/prettier female mods.... Granted, the majority of TES players don't have girlfriends, but still... it's sad.

In a video game RPG you explore a new world, and for normal healthy advlt players the more realistic the better. Mutating the game into mastvrbatory material is absurd - only men incapable of six with women would do this.

No - straight, happily partnered, actually have six, you know. *grins*

People who can't respect the artistic vision of Bethesda and have to turn the game into [censored] material are ... well, sad. Period. Try actual six with a real life girl, perhaps?

I somehow get the impression you want to use this thread to tell everyone you're having six, and anyone who doesn't is infinitely inferior to you, even abnormal, sick, inept and overall a sad being. Evidently this is very important for your self-esteem, but it gets quite annoying for everybody else, and it obfuscates an actually interesting topic about realistisc functionality versus aesthetic appeal. Just calling "eeh, smut!" and "I would never steep so low!" are a rather childish approach, imo.

Blame Frank Frazetta.

I for one can't wait for the Robert Rodriguez remake of Fire and Ice http://www.firstshowing.net/2011/concept-art-for-robert-rodriguezs-new-take-on-frazettas-fire-ice/

The actual article is very interesting. It's still not directly relevant to Skyrim, as you see the same thing basically anywhere where people make their own art. But I agree with this guy.

Just because you don't use the armor and others do, and you may or may not happen to have six with someone, doesn't give you the right to insult others for their personal tastes/beliefs. That would be akin to saying anyone who eats meat is bad because you are a Vegan (although that happens a lot in both directions) or calling nudists "sick" because they are comfortable with seeing other naked people and are comfortable with their body.

The article had some good points and illustrations, I simply think there is room for both in a fantasy setting: Realistic, functional armor, and those that forfeits functionality for looks and appeal. What I missed in the article was that it didn't mention how armor or clothing in general can be important for portraying character and a certain personality. Conan doesn't just wear little to no armor to show his muscles, but to underline the confidence (or even overconfidence) that he won't get harmed anyway. When I make a templar of the eight divines, I might chose conventional, prim armor as a opposed to a crazy witch that plays with the minds of her foes. Looks are important to shape character, and more than often you have to sacrifice functionality for that. It's fantasy, after all.

I'm amazed by all the people wanting to break the immersion of the game just to see naked non-existant women.
I mean, common, porm is better.

Actually it depends on what character you are role playing. Celtic, Germanic, Nordic, and other barbarian tribes used to fight naked. As much as i would like to play a 6 foot tall, hairy, painted, blood curtailing screaming two handed warrior. Skyrim lacks an unarmored skill. The same with say a magic wielding female Druid priestess. They also would have been naked and/or painted.

Seeing that if your game has fully nvde people running around decapitating people while screaming chants to a pagan god, you might not get it on the store shelf. A lot of companies op to just put in skimpy outfits.

Yea, you don't want to mix-up "Fantasy" with "Fantasy"... That is just disturbing...

Assuming the all guys with nvde-mods are lonely and six-less losers...
Is the same as thinking that every female saying that, is equally as lonely and six-less looser, and also jealous...
(Not that I even use mods yet. But I have, and it had nothing to do with being sixual.)

Now I know what that guy at work was talking about when he said... Wife is wife, girlfriend is girlfriend... Separate things... Wives for babies, girlfriends for love... (Not that I agree with his thinking, but now I understand what he was saying.)

There is a reason many more guys are staying single now... Also the same reason lisbianism is down... We just can't stand the catty jealousy, and hen-clucking girl drama. It is easier to just stay home and gawk at Lydia, as she bounces from enemy to enemy, expanding her body-piercing collection with arrows.

Wasn't it Martha Stewart who said...
"It doesn't matter where they get their appetite, as long as they eat at home!"

Lets just say... Many guys aren't as hungry for their wives, and should be glad that they at-least get the munchies once in a while.

Perhaps he got laid for the very first time at an age of 40 and now he is here bragging about it. Well not really bragging but more of like constantly hinting and winking that he had six. With another human, not plastic doll.

We live in an over sixualized Times. And most of us, we are projecting our own Fantasy/Phantasm in what we do for fun. In fact in "Heroic Fantasy" there is the word Fantasy!!!

I personally don't like half naked armor because I don't think they are nicely done or beautiful. For me and as the guy from the article wrote: “less is more.”
However I completely understand that some talented 3D artists project their "phantasms" or their vision of what they consider “sixy” in whatever game they play/mod. Skyrim (Oblivion or any” moddable” Game for that matter) is only A GAME, nothing less and nothing more...

On the top of it this is a solo Game. If you don't like some of the female armor then just don't download those. If you are looking for realism rather than fantasy (as I do) there are plenty of content that answer your need.

But I will never put on my inquisitor Hat to judge something that I consider "Art" even though it might not be my cup of Tea. My 2 cents

Well, when the cool mods come out, I'm gonna have my female warrior lookin' good in skimpy armor. What can I say, I want her to be pleasing to the eye.

All of a sudden I have visions of Red Sonja....

Other than Fur and Forsworn armor there are no extreme example of "sixy bikini armors" in Skyrim. On a side note, though, I expected people of Skyrim to wear more thick clothes due to the weather. The male counterpart of the fur armor has no chest piece at all !!!

Well I guess whatever floats your boat but I wouldn't use mods like that.

I'm not really offended by them so much as I just think they're sorta lame.

There are plenty of highly, um, detailed, nvde mods for male Skyrim folks as well.

Just sayin'.

Bethesda has done more to place women in combat in appropriate gear than any game or SF franchise I can think of. But I don't believe the number one mod is removing the clothing, and wouldn't care if it were.

Of all the things that I'd like to see corrected about Skyrim, however, what women are wearing is at the bottom of the list.

Telling people they don't have girlfriends and therefore modify Skyrim for scantily garbed women is a slap in the face- a deliberate one. But the author knew that.

People are allowed to play games to escape and have fun. I'm tired of PC morality. I don't care for women in sword fights wearing bikinis, but if it makes someonelse happy, so what?

The article the original poster thought so insightful and well done is beyond 101; anyone with the scantest knowledge of SF and Fantasy and the comic genre and games know about the attractive women appealing to a younger audience- or any audience. The article was a yawn.

What was the point? Was the poster going to shame them into clothing their female heroines?

I assume your Body gets used to it. Look at those old world tribes in the Amazon. Walking around the jungle with a loin cloth or butt naked with no shoes.....sheesh. My skin itches thinking about all those jungle bugs crawling on me and walking around with no shoes!, WTF!!!
