Habits!?

Post » Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:04 pm

I can't leave anything locked if I've seen it. Even the locked prison cells with nothing in them. I have to unlock it.

Dead bodies I have to move as well if they're in an awkward position.

The only arrows I will never pick up are iron arrows.

Woo boy.. this'll be a long list....

- I have the urge to "FUS RO DAH" in every city.

- I have to explore EVERY local location within the city i'm in.

- I collect the heads of everyone I kill, and store it in my Windhelm home. (Yes, it takes FOREVEEER.)

- I have the urge to close a door if I'm being followed or if I want to steal something.

- I have to explore every unmarked area on my compass before I take a break. (You can imagine i'm over-encumbered a LOT.)

- I have the urge to kill any dog(s) I see ingame.

- I can only have one follower. Anymore would disturb me.

There are at least a few dozen more, but that's most of it in a 'nutshell'.

I used to smoke a lot sitting in front of my puter, but after taking it apart and seeing the black goo covering all my hardware I now smoke outside

Smart! Now you only got the black goo covering your lungs! ;)

I always ask Dirge in the Thieves Guild how he got his name.

My friend always does this! haha. Good stuff

I have to climb mountains my way, not by the path. If I see it, I have to get the top in as straight a line as possible, even if it means pressing 'jump' for five minutes or using Whirlwind Sprint. Spent a very long time trying to find back routes up the Throat before mostly admitting defeat.

There is a back way up the Throat in case you didn't know. It's tricky and time-consuming (15mins if not more), but it's there. That's how I did it with my mage just for sh*ts and gigs

On my assassin character, I buy all arrows a merchant is selling.

I buy every lockpick too. I have over 500 lockpicks lol.

I forgot to mention the habit I have with my Khajiit assassin....

I kill anything and everything. Not gonna lie, it's the reason I made the character.

EDIT: I double post a lot... guess that's another habit :P

Niamh used to strip the bodies of the people she'd killed, if there are streams and rivers she tends to throw them in, just to get them out of the way.

When I'm running out of carry space, I always go to the blacksmith in Whiterun to sell first. I guess it was just a convenient spot to sell armor/weapons.

Lol I do that as well.

- I have 1 set of fighting gear. Even though i have 1 gaunlet with 1 hand dmg. I never use it though I do fight with 1 hand ;p
- I have 1 set of gear which has the abillity to carry more gear.
- When I cleared a cave and I cant carry all, I search all the most valueable items. But dont ever go back to get the rest
- When I'm going to sell stuff. Always go first to the blacksmith of whiterun. Than to Belethor, than to the alchemist whose name I never can remember although Ive seen her prob a few 100 times. Than to Merchant of Riverwood, and if I still have stuff I go to riften merchants.
- I only have 1 house, Breezehome in White run. Which is also kinda my home. Because I dont like other cities as much as this 1.
- Even though I sell all loot I find which has good value depending the weight. I still am short in cash at level 41(probebly due the fact i use all my money on skill training)
- Even though I'm strong enough to just rush through certain caves with 1 hand and 1 hit most mobs. I go in sneak mode and use archer. Because I always feel frightened I miss a mob and am just scared lol

thank the divines i am not the only one doing that
omg. I always do that as well. Though I never injured myself.

I close doors behind me.

I grab every gem or piece of jewelery I can.

I take gold from every corpse, but usually leave everything else.
Pretty much this, I LIKE SHINY'S!!

Ha! So do I! But I know where to aim. I figure it washes some of the blood, sweat and bone dust off of me. I also have trouble passing up urns and picking up coin purses and loose gold. I close doors, as well. And I help keep Skyrim clean by picking up discarded weapons and armor and placing them on corpses.

But habits? No, none. I mean, no nun habits. :lmao:

Similar to this and I also sleep for 8 hours and take a blessing, usually Kynareth before heading out of town.

  • I usually take all the loot and am frustrated when I get zapped away in certain quests before I've been able to do so... but I should get over it. :-)
  • I like gems and jewelry because they're valuable and have a minimum of weight, never leave one behind.
  • I usually take a follower to carry all that junk and I tend to shoot them in the back occasionally, killing them, because they jump in front of my clear shot all of a sudden...
  • I have organised the wardrobes, chests and cupboards in my house and store everything in the right place when I come back from a rewarding adventure.
  • I always take all the ingredients along that make up for a nice Elsweyr Fondue, even when I don't use magic as a character, which could be considered to be pretty neurotic. :-)
  • With my Kahjiit character I have the polite habbit to close the door before I kill someone in his sleep.
  • Occasionally I give dead animals and people along my way a fisherman's grave and throw them in a waterfall or river.

My habits are character-specific, except for one. Hoarding flawless gems. That’s all me.

IRL habits include going through a diet coke every two hours or so. I can almost set my phone's timer to it.

In-game habits are pickpocketing every NPC that walks by me. Also closing doors behind me. Never wait, always sleep in a bed. If I'm in the same town as my spouse, I make sure to get the Lover's Comfort buff. Hide every body that's out in the open, even if no one is nearby. Loot /everything/ I possible can. Barrels, sacks, urns, chests, bodies....don't take everything but I always check.

What are some habits you guys have when playing Skyrim?

Arinbjorn is a Collector. Every time he finds someone who's "going to Solitude to join the Legion" in the wilderness, he collects their heads

Did that just about an hour ago. There's nothing more satisfying than to 1-hit decap some Dark Elf legionnaire-wannabe scum.

The never waiting thing interests me.
Niamh only waits if it's integral to what she's doing e.g. she wants to raid/murder everyone in a fort and it's daylight - then she'll wait until it's dark, kinda staking the place out.
I imagine though that folk do take the piss with it...

My current character is a dual-wielding dagger assassin, so yeah, nightfall is also integral for her stealth. But if I get to an outside fort that I don't think I can take with Illusion spells and being careful, I go find a hunter camp or abandoned house or some place I've cleared that has a cot or bed roll and sleep there. It started out as an RP-thing on my first character but now I have to do it or else it bothers me endlessly. I even do it on my werewolf character. @@

I take all ingredients I find. And store them ALL in the apo back which is on top of the alchemy thing which is in my house in Whiterun.

There are so unbelievable much ingredients in that sack. That you would normally need around 1000-2000 of those sacks to store them all :D
You would need hours to make all potions you can make from those ingredients :D

I keep all notes I find. I have about 10-15 and I have no clue what they are about becuz i read them along time ago :D
