Has anyone gotten married yet?

Post » Wed May 30, 2012 11:23 am

I never would thought that this feature would be in the game, but has anyone tried it out? If you did, who did you marry? I was thinking about snagging Sylgja.

I married Sylgja but after I used the 'no more blocky faces' mod she became very average looking. So I killed her and married Mjoll the Lioness. She looks great in Forsworn armor, has a great accent and is hard as nails.

Sylgja would not wear anything but that awful mining gear so she deserved it.

I used the console cheat on Carlotta Valentia in Whiterun. It worked, we married I moved in with her and her daughter. From this I figure that the new scripting engine allows owner transfer based on Faction. Really cool. Now I just need to get the CK and some voice acting and I can have a family with children! :celebration:

lol I did a lot of research on wiki. I wanted someone pretty (even though this is fantasy), and I wanted someone worthwhile. So I did research on wiki; game guide and saves/re loads.

Muiri, a girl from Markareth (sp). I had done some Brotherhood quests before I decided to pursue her so shes thanking me. She works at the Hags Cure; an alchemist, which I love to do. I have access to her shop to buy/take 24hrs. And when I moved into the house in that city, she sells weapons/armor/potions, etc AND I still have access to her shop 24-7 :)

Sadly I don't have enough money for the Amulet of Mara right now.

Spent all my coin on powerleveling my smithing.

Speak to the Priest of Mara in Riften. You can also buy a Amulet of Mara from him.

I married Farkcus from The Companions. Marriage in this game is pretty poor compared to marriage in Fable.

Aela is fooling everyone with her makeup. This is what she looks like with it removed via console:

Farkas, his name is Farkas! You don't remember the name of your character's husband? :P

I dunno, I think marriage in this game looks to be much better than Fable. Then again, I don't like Fable.

Anyway, I thought I was going for Farkas too, but I'm also liking Derkeethus. And there's that orc companion with the hard to remember name. And Argis, too. I yet have to decide who would suit better my heroine's personality.

I was wondering if an Orc can get married? I have only seen random Orc encounters in Skyrim. I like my loner character, so I doubt he'll be hooking up with anyone anytime soon. I might give it go on another character.

I think a same six marriage between a brutish Orc and a prissy Altmer would make for a great game. Like the Odd Couple.

But yes, there are marriable orcs.

She sure as hell is, still I can't bring myself to marry her, what would Mjoll as my follower say, although a household with 4 girls in Whiterun sounds like fun. ^^

Nope. Game has been out for almost three weeks, but no one at all has even attempted to get married. It is a mystery to us all.

Ahem.

In all seriousness, I married Aela the Huntress. I'm currently cheating on her with Eola, since I can't marry Eola. Aela lives a nice comfy life in my house in Solitude, while Eola and I go out and explore Skyrim, destroying (and eating) everyone in our path. I gave Eola Namira's Ring, so as far as I'm concerned--seeing as Eola would not adhere to Mara--we're married in the eyes of the Daedra.

I can't stand face paint. That's why I didn't marry Aela. I'm working on a mod to fix it.
