Heimskr: How many ways have you killed or wanted to kill him

Post » Sat Jun 16, 2012 9:28 am

I find Heimskr to be one of the most annoying characters in Skyrim. Sure, Nazeem is a pompous a**, and Skald is the most immature Jarl in the game (other than maybe the Jarl of Falkreath), but they don't stand around the central point in the city you spend the most time in and preach from early in the morning until 2 am. Last time I killed Heimskr I blew him up with a fireball spell, then dragged his body into the Whiterun market so everyone would be like "What happened?" Not suprisingly, Heimskr stand for stupid in Icelandic.

I see no reason to kill the man. He is preaching for what he believes. Should we just go and kill every protestor in the world?

No. i just find Heimskr annoying. There are plenty of Talos worshipper such as the couple in Riften and the Priestess in Windhelm who dont waste their entire day preaching to choir. Its not like most of the Nords (with the exception of the Battle-Borns) are against Talos. The Jarl allows Heimskr to do what he does because in some ways he is more serious about Talos than Ulfric. I noticed during the Civil War questline on the Imperial side that Balgruff and Ulfric sound very similar, since both of them call the Imperials "milk-drinkers"

Yes

Nah, just kidding. But the fact that Heimskr supports the Stormcloaks, who kill my comrades, makes him a target for my blade.

First off, the Battle-Born aren't against Talos, they're just loyal to the Empire.

Second, Balgruuf should be High King over Ulfric anyday, but it's still Ellisif's right to be Queen

Third, I find the Christians who preach at military funerals annoying, should I just go up there and start swing swords?

I'm a Legiannaire to the core, but I still think the Stormcloaks have the right idea when it comes to Talos. Just fighting the only thing that stops an overwhelming influx of talos-haters from marching into your lands is the stupidest idea I've ever heard.

No, of course not. I may not like people such as Westburrow Baptist, but I dont want violence. I want them in jail. With you're first point, I stand corrected. With your second point, Balgruuf is by far my favorite character. I have never picked the Stormcloaks during the Civil War questline, because as my friend said, Jarl Balgruuf is a boss

He is indeed. And he feels the same way about the Empire as Ulfric does when you look at the basics, but he knows that Skyrim's best bet lies witht he Empire, it always has.

I agree. Just one more reason im in the legion. On another note, I watched a family member finish the civil war on the Stormcloak side, and *spoiler alert* guess what Tullius's final words were?

I know, and after you kill Ulfric, if you talk to him he'll say that relationship witht eh Thalmor will soon go bad, but that's not something to worry about now.

So am I. But my character right now wants the Stormcloaks gone as a sort of redemption because he

After finishing the Civil War questline, I felt sort of unfullfilled. But at the same time, its more than likely Bethesda will have a war with the Thalmor as DLC. Im just wondering how the Civil War questline could affect said likely DLC. Secondly, after spending time in Oblivion for the first time, they say "The Nine DIvines" no problem in that game. But that's because the Septim emporers are still around I guess.

It's becasue it's 200 years ago, before the great war and before the ban on Talos worship. My hundreds of hours pumped into that game are what give me my strong feelings for the worship of all nine divines.
