here is the official Changelog! (from GStaff)

Post » Wed May 11, 2011 3:24 am

I guess not everyone thought so, since my post was deleted without warning or explanation.
:(

AnYwAy ... again ... The first thing I did was jump back to Primm and pick up ED-E again. For me, he's totally fixed. He follows me again, attacks again (be it a little zealously, LOL!) and his weapon upgrade is actually pretty awesome.

Oh did you have the bug where after you upgraded ED-E he would freeze as soon as you encountered an enemy? I have this too and was hoping it would be fixed, but I'm on xbox so I can't find out for myself yet.

Did you ever talk to Regis? Both in the Longhouse and outside of it later on?

I spoke with him inside. He never followed me outside though and I tried many, many times. Also, the speech options weren't there to speak with Melissa about changing her mind. It was just all shut down.

Added: And I have Karl's Journal but no option to show it.

They patched a lot of quests. No wonder it took so long to come out.

No, they just SAY they patched a lot of quest in the change log.

What they actually accomplished is a whole new matter.

12.7 ammo can now be made at reloading benches

Really? I'd find that kinda useful....I tend to like the 12.7 machine gun for (insert gun companion here) when I have multiple companions.

I don't know if it was the patch or sheer luck, but my first trip to Gun Runners post-patch was nice. They had a 12.7 pistol and submachine gun in stock with a fair deal of ammo, not to mention the silencer for the latter. So I guess I'm happy with it aside from the fact that they patched the HELIOS One exploit, but I can always delete the game data, abuse it, then download the patch again.

While I can appreciate the work that went into the patch, I too would have liked a more detailed patch notes.

They claim to have fixed quest #254, but what did they fix in quest #254? (hypothetical quest)

In addition, this patch addresses issues with the following areas:

* Pip-Boy Interface
* Weapons and Weapon Mods
* hardcoe Mode
* Perks
* Skills
* Chems/Addiction

I want more info on these. What "issues" have been addressed - technical, general gameplay or both?

Yes, detailed changelog FTW!

The last Beth patches for FO3 were always something like

"Acchievement for new DLC added"

while clearly doing much more.

PS3 has still crashes.

No this won't go away, Too deep in the engine considering these problems are in F3 and Oblivion too.

Changes to explosives that were discussed earlier mostly dealt with the splash zone (radius of effect), I believe. This would be invisible to PS3 users unless they can actually test it in practice. You'll likely have to wait till the file can be examined in the GECK/FNVEdit to find out what changes were made to the explosives.

* EC/ECP/MC ammo (standard) now has -2 DT
* EC/ECP/MC ammo (over charge) now has -5 DT
* EC/ECP/MC ammo (max charge) now has -10 DT
* Multiplas Rifle now consumes 3 units of ammo per shot (previously 6)
* Plasma Defender now consumes 2 units of ammo per shot (previously 3)

Cool, i can mod those in with the GECK while waiting for Steam to publish the patch :goodjob:

Well, nevermind, the logs never state this so i do not complain about that (in fact i play on PC, i dont have crashes, but my friend case is very annoying )

Yay, patch time!

I just started playing again too after a couple week hiatus.

Hopefully they did something to fix the random crashes.

Hopefully they did SOMETHING to explosive.

Thank you magical patching elves.

I went searching on google for information on PS3 crashes and was surprised to find just how many games this is a complaint for. :o I saw someone on this forum who uninstalled his other games and saves and his crashes stopped after reloading Fallout:NV which is what prompted me to start a search.

I found this article offering some tips for freezing on PS3 and I am not at all sure it will help you but wanted to share it just in case:
http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Tricks-For-Ps3-Troubleshooting/1353025

Other common causes for the crashes seem to be dirty discs, over heating and wrong settings. I'm sorry if this is not helpful for you but thought it worth a read through. :shrug:

Good luck.

YAY i thought finally the big patch is here. Downloaded it and finished vault 34 , walked outside and my ps3 froze ........back to square one again
Enjoy your broken dlc everybody it doesn't matter how many times you have to reset your consoles as long as you pay bethesda they wont give a hoot.

And it is not a faulty ps3 or a dirty disc it is just an extremely fun but poorly coded game , shame that is :violin:

Bravo, GStaff!

Please convey my appreciation to the devs. That was fast work considering the list.

I will be anxiously monitoring the posts from the PS3 folks to see what has and hasn't been fixed and what fun new bugs we have to look forward to (Ya know it's gonna happen)

Thanks for all the hard work. You guys must wear flame retardant undies. :hubbahubba:

How about a Patch to remove the Invisible walls on the Mountains. I understand the outer Paramter of the map. Please remove the invisible walls. Thanks (Xbox)

I was hoping that they'd give Energy Weapons more hit points. Or at least slow the degradation down. That's one of the biggest problems with them. The YCS/186 has 100 hit points. Random 9mm pistols have 150 hit points. There are multiple weapon mods for rifles that add 50% CND to them. Not one for any Energy Weapon rifle. Guess we'll have to wait for the next patch to see if EW's are even close to being on par with Guns.
