here is the official Changelog! (from GStaff)

That would be unwise since invisible walls were a design decision whereas almost all of these are bug fixes.

You'd end up with one really crappy, incredibly easy to win game.

Maybe, but I use the invisible wall remover mod and I've not found it noticeably easier than normal. In fact, I still get murderized by cazadores and deathclaws when I try to be cheeky and climb the mountains to get to Vegas from Goodsprings.

I went searching on google for information on PS3 crashes and was surprised to find just how many games this is a complaint for. :o I saw someone on this forum who uninstalled his other games and saves and his crashes stopped after reloading Fallout:NV which is what prompted me to start a search.

I found this article offering some tips for freezing on PS3 and I am not at all sure it will help you but wanted to share it just in case:
http://www.articlesnatch.com/Article/Tricks-For-Ps3-Troubleshooting/1353025

Other common causes for the crashes seem to be dirty discs, over heating and wrong settings. I'm sorry if this is not helpful for you but thought it worth a read through.

Good luck.

Good information. Also, I put a cleaning disk in my 360 every 10 hours of game play (give or take) and have had maybe one freeze playing FONV in the past month (and that one happened when I was over due for a cleaning).

How about a Patch to remove the Invisible walls on the Mountains. I understand the outer Paramter of the map. Please remove the invisible walls. Thanks (Xbox)

You know, even if they removed them, they would probably replace them with some other impassable barrier. Then the gripe would be "Why does New Vegas take place in a valley? Why can't I buy a Mountain Climbing perk? Vegas isn't in a valley!"

You can't win.

I could have wished for a more precise change log.

It's hard to determine if fix mods are required with such generalized reporting of fixes. Gonna spend a lot of time in FNVEdit next week I guess.

Yeah - very light on details, no mention of (promised) Energy weapons tweaks, no mention if Steam Cloud will be working

Hope the actual patch is better than this 'summary' of fixes :unsure2:

And it is not a faulty ps3 or a dirty disc it is just an extremely fun but poorly coded game , shame that is :violin:

What about "For Auld Lang Sine?"

People like me are missing out on that tesla armor.

I looked through the "fixed quests" list and didn't see it.

You guys should check the Wiki as well as these forums when looking for stuff to fix because almost every page/topic/item on there has a full and detailed "bugs" section!

Oh god, I've played far too many multi-platform games that completely neglect the PS3 versions. :glare:
This game crashes on every platform though, so I seriously doubt it's the PS3 itself.

Really? None of them have crashed on me yet  Except Gran Turismo 5 but that was due to failed install.

I think the crashes are far more common when it's a multi-platform game. PS3 exclusive titles like Killzone 2 and Gran Turismo 5 function better because they've been optimized for the PS3. When a game is made for the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC though, the PS3 kinda loses because the two others are Microsoft's.

Then again, I have a PS3 and I've never had a game crash on it. I've never played Fallout: New Vegas on the PS3 though since I own both a PC and an Xbox 360.

This.

I seriously cannot find anyone talking about this after getting the new patch, but it was a major issue for many. Has it been fixed?

You recall that the PS3 never got the patch that broke all the gun reloading in the first place, right? At worst they had a sometimes problem with the Cowboy Repeater, not the most of the time problem with all the "single shell reload" guns. I doubt PS3 players even pay attention to that, but since they aren't screaming about all their guns being broken I'd assume it is fixed.

Ahh, I wasn't aware that it was a patch that broke the reloading. I had only purchased NV recently, but that makes sense. Heres hoping the new pc patch got a little love in that respect then.

I had the reloading glitch before the patch came out, after it came out I had an entirely different reloading glitch. Pre patch I couldn't run and reload and post patch I couldnt sneak and reload. If this patch fixes that problem I will be as happy as ants at a picnic.

Sounds great. Next week seems to be that of the grand patches to make games like they should be, first NV and then Civ V. ^_^

It's not "A" glitch. It's a series of glitches where the script element to remove the quest item, or at least the quest item status, is missing from a quest script.

Sometimes it's caused by having multiple ways to end the quest, other times it's caused by a quest being ended improperly (failed due to a death).

Probably the proper thing to do would be to have a special stage at the end of every quest that removes the quest item status from all items regardless of how the quest ended.

The so called release notes on the patch was :swear:
How the hell much effort does it take to copy and paste from the patch description submitted to MS/Sony? That lazy list we were given is completely unacceptable.
Significant changes were made to the sniper rifle and energy weapons, but you wouldn't know it by reading the "release notes"

Put a little effort into it, people are still pissed about the game being buggy for months after purchasing it. Why do you have to further insult us by not bothering to put up a proper change log?
