I hope with all the money Bethesda makes they'll be able to

The problem is not the quantity of voice actors, but the quality of the voices themselves.
In Skyrim quality is a bit hit or miss. Some of the voice acting is outstanding, while other is mediocre.
There is some english-nordic-lumberjack-joe acting that is a bit goofy.

Having multiple voice actors doing the "Nord Male" voice would have helped; that's the one that I notice everywhere. Other than that, it's not a big deal imo.

They won't. I can't get my head round people believing they'll ever go back to text based dialogue. It'd be the commercial equivalent of having the whole game in black and white and burned onto a gramophone record. These olde worlde yearnings for days of yore are never going to be fulfilled now we're in the era of talkies.

Well we're not looking at it from the point of view of Bethesda's accountants but rather what (we think) would make a better game. The pay-off from having at least partial text dialogue is Bethesda can create a lot more NPC interaction which makes for a deeper, richer world. Of course it won't happen if the current TES audience struggles with reading and is happier hearing the same lines repeated over and over.

I thought the voices were pretty good this time! At least (compared to TES IV) you could tell there were more than four people and the nord ones didn't all sound like a John Wayne impersonation of a Scandanavian.

The Dark Elf voice annoys me, (only because I'm English) but I much prefer it to Oblivions "civillized" sounding Dunmer.

many voices sound similar, but aren't the same. They over time sound all the same to me too. I think the problem is actually that they say the same thing over and over and over again.

Oh, no, you can trust yourself. It sounds like the same voice because it is the same actors doing different characters.

I'm just glad that they didn't use the same voice actors that they did in the skyrim demo that todd howard did.

Hod, Alvar, and Sven sound terrible!

They don't even have accents.

Not for me it wouldn't, and I would NOT buy it if they did this. Thankfully, I seriously doubt they will ever go back to text. I have to read spreadsheets and other crap all day long at work. The LAST thing I want to do when I get home is have to read more crap.

So why then do they have different V.A's saying the same line? There are at least six different actors who say the line, "Some people call this junk, me I call them treasures" That takes up the same amount of disk space as six different lines would. Seems like they could have used that space a lot better to me.
The worst part about that line isn't the voices saying it, but the grammar itself and how often we hear it. Referring to something as "this" (singular) in the first phrase, and then refering to it as "them" (plural) in the second is poor form.

Reading! But I was at the office when I was doing it, (don't tell my boss). I was not playing on my computer at home.
