How did you resolve this question for yourself?

It's logically impossible to assign any actual meaning to life.

I voted religion, I don't think the rules allow me to say more than that.

By meaning I'm reffering to purpose. What is the purpose of life? What are you supposed to accomplish in your life? How should you live it and why?

Pfft, I was joking but you took me seriously.

Anyway, I'm with Wittgenstein; it's an absurd question.

Of course life has no a priori meaning, but it does have a posteriori meaning.

I have no idea where that would fit in the poll options though. I guess answer 6 is closest to this but it's not quite exactly what I have in mind.

I suspected it was a joke but believe it or not, there are many people who actually enjoy this stupid semantics game...
I like your answer. I've started reading about him and his work not long ago, he's great.

I resolved the question by not caring about it. Even if life has some meaning, I don't see why this would influence my own choices or even be interesting.

Read the Tractatus... if you like, but it's complete garbage. His second book takes it all back. And is a masterpiece.

This and what I already said in my previous post basically sums up what I think about this issue.

What if knowing that meaning was the key to making your life better?

What if you started off convinced that wasn't the case, so you didn't bother worrying about it?

I don't know what the meaning of life is but I do know that I want to dominate it. All of it.

Not necessarily. What if the meaning of life is not to worry about it? Then he's completely on the right track.

Maybe. But surely you've shot yourself in the foot if you waste your whole life looking for a meaning when there isn't one? Or if you spend it devoted to a meaning that turns out to be wrong?

Given that all those things are a possibility... Well, I dunno, maybe it's up to everyone to decide for themselves what that means.

My opinion is susceptible to change, of course, but I don't believe life has a meaning. The existance of everything has no purpose, in my opinion. I don't believe any entity created everything and I don't see any particular reason as to why we exist. I believe we just do. For me, life is about enjoyment. I don't believe there is an inherent meaning to life, but rather I believe life is just our own possession with which we do whatever we please.

I dunno about the possession bit, but the rest of that was beautiful, man...

Option 6 probably fits my view closest, but I don't think that you make it seem meaningful - it is meaningful to you because you give it meaning, whatever you do in life. It probably won't affect anyone else in the long run, and your life probably wouldn't have any meaning without you deciding what is meaningful.

Btw, I'm on my fourth big glass of wine, forgotten the question and typed meaning/ful so much that it doesn't really look like a proper word anymore.

That possession bit is just my poorly worded equivalent of "life is what you make of it".
