I was scouting a stormcloack camp -- one I had heard was being visited by Ulfric himself (!) -- with my Bosmer friend Wa'Acoth. We had no loyalties to the Empire, but Balgruuf had a gut feeling that the Stormcloacks were also up to no good and hired us out to investigate.
At the camp, we saw all sorts of brutish-looking Nords standing in a line. Indeed, they were in line for a table -- a table that was being attended by Ulfric himself (!). Well, we knew what we had to do. We had to get in closer to see what was going on.
My friend Wa'Acoth saw them first. Two large Nords, adorned in robes and a peculiar cap. They were from some of the more racist clans in Skyrim, as evidenced by their attire. Wa'Acoth and I knew what to do in that instant.
I hid behind a rock and Wa'Acoth called them out. "Hey boys!" The two Nords turned, dumbstruck by the presence of the lone elf. "Look what I got here!" Wa'Acoth pulled me from behind the rock by the collar of my shirt.
I thought I would use some of my Redguard appeal to lure these nords. I shouted, "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=493pL_Vbtnc"
That did its job well, and the Nords followed us into our trap. We donned their robes and promptly got in line.
Our turn to sign-up was upon us. Ulfric bellowed in his deep, near-thu'um-whisper, "Qualifications?" He must have bought our disguises!
I spoke, "Stampeding mammoths." He responded, "That doesn't show your spirit for skyrim!" I responded quickly, albeit in an interrogative tone, "Through Imperial City?". He took a liking to my daring, though how he managed to believe that I got mammoths into Cyrodiil is beyond me.
However, when I reached for the pen to sign-up, my skin showed. Wa'Acoth seized the opportunity and spoke, "By Shor! How many times have I told you to wash up after our foreigner house-burning events?" He started rubbing the back of my hand with the tip of his sleeve. "See? It's coming off," he assured the Stormcloaks. But by then, it was too late. We were caught, but we had http://youtu.be/TJkHykGRXrw?t=37s
It was a chase worthy of any epic. Well, almost. Unfortunately, Wa'Acoth and I managed to lead the Stormcloacks into an Imperial trap. Wa'Acoth took an Imperial Arrow to the heart -- It was a shame he didn't have his bow at the time -- and I took an Imperial Boot to the head.
You can figure out the rest of the story from there. *Sigh*, if Wa'Acoth had only his bow, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fMfBk_k_79g.
