How often does this game freeze on you?

Using the PC version, it happens twice; both time when wandering the Nellis Air Force Base.

My experience hasn't been too bad overall with freezing. The last couple of days though, it seems to be increasing. I think that has to do with location though. For some reason I have had multiple freezes in Red Rock Canyon. ...that's what I get for drinkin around the campfire with glorified junky raiders I guess. :)

in about 65 hours of playtime it's froze completely about 3 times so far, and all right after an autosave or i saved myself so i didn't ever lose anything.

Generally a freeze or crash every hour or so.

I've come to the view that the people who say they don't have problems are sycophants who are trying to svck up on the forums, that's the only reason I can come up with to explain some of the abuse that's been piled onto those of us who do.

I haven't had any freezes in about 50 hours. I had one crash, but that was because I ALT-TAB'd out to a web browser for about 20 minutes and then it wouldn't switch back to New Vegas. So far I'm having fewer stability issues than I had with Fallout 3, which would crash every time I tried to quit the game until the second patch.

@Gungho1 - wanna come by and watch me play? My game doesn't crash unless I minimize it for more than a few minutes...don't know what to tell you. I have no reason to lie about it. The only bugs I've seen are a few quest bugs - scratch that - two quest bugs in game and some object collision issues...pretty much on par with FO3 so far. Yeah, people shouldn't give you a hard time for reporting your problems, but it's also a bit rude to accuse people of lying. I don't doubt some people are having issues...this engine has been really temperamental since Oblivion.

I had a save game crash, saved at the wrong spot I guess. Every time I loaded this particular save the game crashed. Glad I made a habit of saving without relying on auto saves. :)

In about 80 hours, it's frozen about 10 times.

Of course, this doesn't factor in the numerous quest glitches. Overall, I think I'm having a better run than most people/

In the first 40 hours many times. After that I downloaded the game on my xbox and cleared my cache and it worked better. I only knew to do that because I have been playing Bethesda games for a long time.

Freeze? Never. Crash? Maybe five times in a hundred hours of play, with half of those being me doing stupid stuff to see if it'd work (ie spawn 99999999999999999 suits of power armor in inventory.)

I played for about 10 hours on saturday. It froze 4 times on me. The most it has so far. I normally play for 4 hours at a time and get one freeze.

Not one freeze since i got the game... until the XBox live update. then 5 times in one day. Sad really. i wonder how much of that is the new update, which I hate by the way. My friend has the same issue. It never froze on him in 60 hours, and did it three times this morning. i think the new XBL isn't very compatible with New Vegas.

No freezes in over 50 hours.

Uh-huh... Sure. I love this game, but c'mon - don't [censored] us.

I experience a freeze-up approximately once per five hours of gameplay. To date I haven't lost any major game play as recent saves loaded back up with no issues, but that doesn't make me feel any better.

Believe it. I've only had one crash in about 50 hours and it was probably my fault for minimizing the game to do other things on my PC for a while. All Gamebryo games seem to have a problem with being minimized for long periods of time.

Only one time the game major lagged on me for 30seconds but this is because there were a dozen large lizards coming at me and I so happen to walk into a load spike
