How would you survive a Zombie apocalypse?

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 7:48 am

Though I'm not sure I should say my survival plan...I've literally spent years working on it.

...Don't laugh...

Well, think about it this way. What are the odds that as zombies we would take the time to go to your fortress which I assume is either a gun store or Walmart near a gun store?

Wat about a Wal-Mart with a gun store in it?

I've still got one question... Can you even drive a boat?

I cant drive a car (legally) but im planning on getting to plymouth dover portsmouth with a jeep. I guess i could get family to drive as i dont even know the way.

And besides, boating cant be that difficult, just go full throttle to hawaii and we're plain sailing :P

I don't know, steering a 2,000 ton boat seems hard...

This poll is too general, but the closest thing I'd do is the last one...Though I'm not sure I should say my survival plan...I've literally spent years working on it.

Don't worry, I won't.

I'd just get a suit of chainmail armor, wear some cool helmet, and go about my business with a double barreled shotgun, two sidearms, some flares (I assume zombies might be attracted to light, or are at least not immune to high temperatures), some thermite, and maybe a few homemade bombs (I'm guessing that making your own bombs won't be illegal during the zombie apocalypse). Yes, on cold days I'll wear a jacket over my chainmail (don't worry, I'll have an undershirt as well), where I'll store even more gear.

Eventually I'd make my way up to Alaska. Walking, though. However, that may mean I'll have to go through the treacherous Forbidden Zone... Canada. *shudder*

Or, hell, I'll visit TeeHee's cruise boat. I'll work on mounting weapons everywhere and I'll also bring along a mechanic friend to do the repairs. The conversation will go something like this:

"Hey, guess what? I found us a way out of this zombie- infested hellhole!"

"Sweet!"

"You'll even get to be a mechanic, just like before!"

"Uh... so I have a job?"

"Yeah! Fixing boats, just like before."

"Uh... I worked on cars before."

"Ah, boats, cars, same difference. Don't you just hit the engine with a pipe wrench until it grows missile launchers?"

So every southern member heads for Portsmouth, meets Teehee on her stolen boat, then we sail round to Manchester to meet the northern members and Peace's boat?

Yes. They are called "Almost every Super Walmart in this damn country."

EDIT: Revolutionfilms... Peace_Bullet lives over in the States. You better have a damn big cruise boat.

OK. And don't make the rookie mistake of stealing a cruise boat. Steal a large freighter or a container ship. They have to travel across the ocean regularly.

But a cruise ship is stocked with tons of food. Besides, once we're out of range of the mainland, we're going to search the boat for any possible infections...

You also want a cruise ship because it will have entertainment. If TeeHee:3 gets a fishing boat, i will get back in my jeep and drive to haiti. That way i can learn Bokor and command zombies to lay in the water and make a bridge all the way to hawaii.

That's going to be one LONG ass bridge, considering Haiti is in the middle of the Caribbean and Hawaii is more or less in the middle of the Pacific.

We need a passcode to confirm who everyone is, I say it should be Fishy Stick as the welcoming thing for new formers is a Fishy Stick (well a picture of a fishy stick but they're the same)

Even better. If zombies rise up any time soon you can just scoop up some fuel as you sail.

I would wait a bit just to see if it was real and be careful. If it spread to where I lived I would leave and go up north with my family to Stornoway, we usually go there on holidays and it's a nice quiet island. If the virus somehow spreads to Stornoway then maybe the whole community (really friendly and helpful people) would help drive them off, but if not... Then there's always somewhere else to sail lol.
It depends what type of zombie it is: fast or slow. If it's fast zombies that only die by destroying the brain then we are a doomed.

They're quite common down south and in upstate New York.

I guess I'm fighting my way down to Florida to catch a ride on Peace Bullet's boat.

It would take me about a week to get there on foot, Defaulted will probably take a couple months if he's heading out on foot. Do you have any plans for fending off armed, desperate refugees?
