360 has less than a gig of RAM as well.

People honestly still listen to what IGN has to say after that Dark Souls article? They've definitively proved on multiple occasions that their writing staff is a group of unprofessional, uneducated, biased morons who couldn't write a good article to save their life.

PS3 owners are just mad because no matter how much they try to delude themselves, they're realizing that they made a bad decision when it came to purchasing a system and they have to live with it. Oh, they'll try to deny it, sure, but it's true.

No other developers seem to have a problem except Bethesda...

Almost every multi-platform game is worse on the ps3.

Well, assuming that many PS3 players cannot play the game at all, i would agree with the, um, article. Or paragraph, whatever.

My point is they couldnt maxmize the ps3 hardware as the ps3 version is only a port.
I would say there is a clear difference between "maximizing" and "making a port that eventually breaks down". You don't see other PS3 ports having these problems. Hell, the much criticized PS3 Bayonetta is a better port.

This is extremely vague. Yes the PS3 is harder to develop for but most developers now don't seem to have problems.

Liek I said, the reason for the nearly non playable game is due to a bad engine. Skyrims engine that is which doesnt work well with the way ps3 hardware works.

but other companies can. All the ports I've played are perfectly stable on the ps3. And the only differnences are nitpicky at best just look at digital foundry

Bethesda should have released a stable version of the game

to blame this on the ps3 or ign is just misdirection

Thank you IGN.

Is this the same IGN that gave Skyrim a 3 page long 9.5/10 review and Editor's Choice award?

I'm not sure why people are arguing the claim.

Just because the game is great doesn't mean it isn't the biggest screwup of 2011

I don't recall any other games of 2011 with as many issues as Skyrim.

Yeah I don't get the it's ign fault or ps3s fault, like they had a hand in making the game. The blame rests solely on the creators

All the big company's are sellout's. You can count on every Halo, Cod, Battlefield, ect getting a great review just because they know they don't get squat if they tell the truth.

Bethesda has always improved from past games except this time. Magic has been totally trashed compared to any of the previous games. However other than that and some small bugs the game is one of the best of all time.

I do want to try Dark Souls though. I hear it's amazing.

I unfollowed IGN. They've been so negative towards Skyrim lately and I think IGN Entertainment is in competition with ZeniMax Media. I just don't need the constant griping.

:tes:

Take off the Tin Foil hat.

The PS3 version is completely broken. But I'm sure IGN will cry that you "unfollowed" them

Maybe IGN should purchase a system that can handle a port (PC) or that the game was designed on (X-Box)

It's like complaining that eating ice-cream with a fork is too hard.

And they said "We'll never know what might have happened to the weird aliens and hot blue chicks Bioware calls characters"
They're trying too hard.

Don't be ridiculous. Bethesda RELEASED SKYRIM ON THE PS3, now you want to blame people who bought it? What type of anti logic nonsense is that

Mickers

Dark souls is a great game. It's more a distilled game than something like skyrim. It's a game in the truest sense.

They optimized the game for the xbox hardware, and it runs very good on the xbox.

That is true, however, for whatever reason, Skyrim does not run on the PS3 very well, which has upset many people. If Bethesda wasn't going to take the time to properly port the game to the PS3, they shouldn't have even released it on that platform. I'd rather have nothing than waste money on a poorly-running game.

The article the OP posted was about IGN saying Skyrim on the PS3 was a screw-up. Those articles you linked only talk about the Xbox 360 version. It's a known fact that PS3 users are having multiple, game-breaking problems that Xbox users are not experiencing (or at least not as frequently).

The fact the game doesn't work for one of its platforms means it isn't worthy of GOTY no matter how much you might be a fan of it.

:turned: I cannot believe peeps have resorted to remarks about how PS3 can't Handle Skyrim :turned:

you folks do realize both consoles are more or less equal in power right? since when do you treat a console like a PC and say it can't handle a game? rofl its just more concrete evidence that this game was made for 360, I wouldn't have been surprised if they made it a 360 exclusive.
