As long as you're not stuck in the final battle at the Hoover Dam with no prior saves you should be A-OK when it comes to playing any DLC with an already developed character.

Ive seen plenty of legionaries with guns. And i dont think the NCR would have so much trouble with legion if it was as easy as that for them

Trust me it kinda reminds me of indians and soldiers the legion is the indians that pick up guns from the people they kill and the soldiers are ncr. I just dont get how the legion can even be a threat

... Swords would beat anyone that doesn't know how to use a gun decently, in other words... Most of the NCR soldiers.

Um, no. I have shot a gun before and it takes a while to get used to it, and I've seen war footage from World War II, In the footage there were two marines against two japanese soldiers on Guadalcanol (I think.) anyways, they were butchered after being in combat for the first time by those soldiers, and they used swords.

NCTroopers have crap training and crap equipment and I've never seen one of them work out even once.
Legionnaires on the other hand trains all their life to stay in shape and are very good at both using firearms AND swords.
So a nervous shaky trooper with a crap service rifle against a fit legionnaire running at full speed with a machete?
My money is on the skirt.

I hope he isnt hostile. i hope he is an unkillable charaacter who goes unconcious. I hope you can end the game where he goes back to legion territory, and will take over the legion after caeser and Lanius inevitable death.
Caeser isnt going to last and lanius isnt bad. And I think the legion should be kept around, they have potential and need to be more fleshed out. Having Graham take over could secure its future and then we can see more of the legion.

Failing that, make him a companion we can ring back to the wastes. Make him the opposite of Boone, we already have to many pro ncr characters, not enough pro legion.

yes and who hasnt shot a shotgun and it ROFL doesnt take long to use like really do u ever hunt or even go out and shoot at all people with swords vs. people with guns(this is the winning side)

Aside from shotguns, guns take skill. Some people can get shot and kep moving depending on where the bulllet went. And a sword dosent take skill (atleast not against a person with no sword) to kill. Now add to that the training the legion has, factor in the training the ncr dosent have. and legio wins. Legion soldiers die but they win none the less.

I'm more in support of the NCR, but the fact is that they aren't as tough as Legionaries. NCR Troopers are volunteers- and the disarray of a post apocalyptic military would be substantial.

To get a grip on how much training they have, think of this. In real life, it costs about a million dollars to train ONE soldier in the US Army. The NCR can hardly afford adequate supplies, much less a modern day military training course. No, troopers are given half assed weapons and not taught how to use them well.

The Legion, on the other hand, is different. They've disciplined themselves and do not require nearly as much of a posh lifestyle as a trooper. They can fight in any setting with any weapon. What they lack in numbers, they make up for in training. How did the Native Americans actually stand up to the European soldiers? They worked differently.

This comparison does not include elite troops of either force. Oh, and the Legion uses guns when going up against enemies with guns. They just choose machetes when they're on their own turf and don't expect combat, as it is a part of them. How do you think Legionary assassin squads have some of the best and most powerful weapons in the game? How do you think they get anti-materiel rifles at the battle of Hoover Dam? It's not that they're "poor", it's that, like a monk, they choose to live differently unless needed. And they're doing a pretty damn good job.


And yes, I've shot guns. I own five guns personally, and if you actually knew the proper maintenance and training of a firearm, it's a lot more difficult than it seems. Anybody that disagrees with that either doesn't own one or isn't the one that has to maintain it. Knowing ammunition and learning how to properly chamber bullets every time is actually a lot more difficult than it seems. If you're taking a gun across the damn desert, you better know how to check your bullets for degradation and make sure your magazines are in proper order (functioning springs) and most of all, you have to know how to repair and clean your weapon, something that is not easy to learn.

thats great but no the ncr are a little more than stormtroopers if that was so they would be all wiped out. There at least mmmmm idk whats above a stormtrooper
