Joshua Graham (Burned Man) Speculation

Post » Mon Mar 07, 2011 9:47 am

So it's been all but confirmed that Graham will be in the next DLC, Honest Hearts.

What do you think he'll act like? What will he look like (he was lit on fire, after all)? And what will his attitude toward the Legion and NCR be like?

I'm hoping he will look to take control of Caesars legion.

Well he will despise both sides and both sides want him dead but I hope they don't add the option to make the burned man be able to be talked into joining NCR or Caesar's legion he still has a burning hate for both.

I doubt the events of the DLC will have any substantial effect on the main game.

Maybe he doesn't hate The Legion though.
Maybe he agrees that what Caesar sentenced him to was what he deserved.
Maybe he still believes in Legion, just that he can't exactly just waltz back in there.

Well either that or change his views and make him into a "bad guy" turned good

When he returns, I imagine it would be through a secret cell within the Legion, some way that lets him maintain his ties to the Legion without it affecting the overall scope of the game. Since I think the DLC will be pretty self encased, I imagine we will be given the opportunity to finally recruit Ulysses. It's not that the scope of finding and resolving the burning man story couldn't be enough to build a DLC, just that the battle between two couriers might be pretty epic, and his being the only companion who would've had ties to the Legion would make him a nice addition to the Legion's DLC. Unless they decide to bring him in during something like the Divide DLC, likely covering the Grand Canyon.

I might be wrong but it sounds to me like you're confusing the Burned Man with Ulysses, they're two different people as far as I know.

It most likely wasn't him that was thrown in. And I'm not quite sure where it is but theres like a wall somewhere that says he lives and stuff and it mentions the divide and also something about a courier. Don't worry it's not spoiling anything if you haven't already found it.

He was the damn Legate, he'd have to be one of the toughest bastards in the Legion. Maybe he did survive legitimately.

He probably did, keep in mind that he was going to have survived the exact same ordeal in Van Buren in addition to being hanged.

How does a courier survive two almost point blank shots to the head? People survive weird stuff. I would actually like for the DLC to effect the main game but it probably won't. I feel he will try make his own "Legion". You gotta have something to fight right?

I think he'll be a bit like Veronica. He'll have symphaty for Legion but will question their beliefs and actions from time to time. Maybe a bit more aggresively.

Oh and if they bring him in straight from Van Buren, we'll see him covered in bandages. Gonna be an interesting guy to have along.

A bit more aggressive?
If he's like in Van Buren (Which honestly, if he isn't like he was suppose to be then I'd rather not have him in any DLC at all, they shouldn't rewrite the character and tone him down) then he's going to be a walking curse.

I bet the burned man will just hate Ceaser and call him stupid, and then set to work taking control of the legion to his own ways
