I played oblivion almost to death (my own) with many hundreds of hours invested. I just got Skyrim yesterday for XMAS and I'm so excited. I get to play it tonight....

1-Save often,
2-Giant can smash you easil....as frost trolls.
3-Don't atack some npcs they are immortal
4-Be carefull where you explore
5-Draughs with ebony bows and complete Unrealeting Force can piss you off
6-Some quest can fail if you take too much time to complete them
7-Have fun

Roleplay for max immersion.

Quicksave is your friend.

Don't hoard too much.

Don't play as god.

Listen to NPC's conversation.

Don't "pet" those mammoths. (giants will get you)
