Wake me up when you guys hear about something substantial.

this x 1000.

If they dont include a toggle... and I'm forced to watch 300% as many kill moves as I'm already forced to watch... then Skyrim will be dead to me.

Woo! Can't wait!
And people, stop acting like this is the only thing to be included in the patch. I have no doubt that they'll include a few bug fixes and such. Plenty of people have asked for these kill cams, and they'll add to the visual experience. So stop panicking about Bethesda abandoning bug fixes for kill cams.

Great. So from now on i don't get one hit killed only by ancient dragons and two handed weapon wielding Marauders, but mages and archers too :goodjob: Time to finally get that mod that disables them.

EDIT: Wrong link
Piercing kills? Nice.

@OP: Thanks for the info.

As long as there is an off switch for this option I am ok with it. On the bugs note, the spell absorption+summon glitch(where you absorb your summon) is REALLY irritating. I don't like having to cast a spell 5 times to get it to work, especially when that spell is a thrall and uses most of my magic. How about fixing that first?

I`m sorry, but getting excited just about kill cams? that`s it?

Some people are so easily pleased it`s amazing. A little bit of lipstick and apparently they`re all happy.

I`ll be happy when I here about PROPER improvements or fixes. Stuff that adds to the world, not eyecandy short-term gloss.

Wake me up when you guys hear about something substantial.

Well, I'm sorry for those with bug ridden games or those who are really unthrilled with the gameplay but I have neither problem. So I am excited

I'm sorry some folks miss spears and for their sake would like them back but for me they pale into insignificence beside magic and archery killcams so I'm excited.

Most of all I'm excited though that something from the gamejam is being included in a patch , not as DLC. The possiblilties there should thrill everyone I would think.

i just don't see how well ranged kill cams are going to work. will it work like melee? say your a good ways away from the mage or archer your trying to kill, and your trying to heal yourself or flee, or cast that next fireball, but just b/c your health is a little low you wont be able to b/c that archer or mage is going to kill cam you. idk i hope they do something about that.

I guess you can wave bye bye to shooting an arrow and move to cover. It'll all be messed up with silly killcam junk.

In one way I'm delighted, but in another I know I'll never be able to do this again from 100+ yards

Might not make it to the xbox tho, because it's content and not a fix.

You only get kill cams on the last enemy so you don't need to move to cover.

What about the other half of the people who ask that 'kill cams' may be disabled via the option menu?

Especially since their frequency is controlled by a global modifier. No excuse to not have that.

hopefully they add a toggle option. I will say that i love the fact that Beth is adding new features in patches. I think it shows that they wanna try to improve the game or add features that should have been in the release.

Kill cams are nice for those who like it, I just hope I can turn the feature off. Otherwise, I won't ever use a bow again.

Because they're working on getting new stuff into the game as well as fixing bugs. And building your own house isn't any more necessary than kill cams, so that statement is invalid.
They're just spreading the brutally violent love to playstyles other than melee fighters, which as an archer I will certainly enjoy. I'm certain there will be bug fixes in the patch too

This^

There are already 5 houses in the game. Any additional living quarters shouldn't be a big priority. I'm looking forward to the mage kill-scenes. It makes taking the perk that turns your opponents into ash worth it. Same with putting an arrow through an oppenents head. Sweet.

There's also the prospect of being able to advertise those scenes. It'll mean some extra sales.

While bugs should still be the top priority, I can't see any reason to complain about this.

Wait with the judgment until Bethesda has released it. Kill cams for ranged combat should get rendered differently than for close combat. At least this is what I hope they will do.

I hope it will not be a zoomed slow-motion view of a head getting hit by an arrow. I rather hope to see the arrow flying in slow motion on a beautiful path, past other targets and objects, before it hits its ugly destination and marks the end of the kill cam.
