Now you'll be able to watch a guard take an ARROW TO THE KNEE in close-up super slo-mo

It's probably ala Fallout 3 where you wait forever for your bullet to hit someone, and in the meantime you are stuck where you stand. Incoming mage blasts, big ol' bears can rip you apart while you wait for that silly cam thing to be done.

/facepalm

Will there be a way to disable them?

Sweet, for free as well. Can't grumble at that.

Oh wait, people already are...

You act like no one else gives free stuff as some game companies think free DLC's are fair. I think it's more Bethesda realised their mistakes and are just doing it because 11.11.11 was way too early and wasn't released in the state they wanted.

Leaking info about confirmed fixes would have been better imo, I am worried now that glossy features in the next patch will compensate for the fact that for many (PS3) it's now as good as it will get.

I'm still hoping I can play again but as I say, worried now.

Excellent news, I enjoy playing with a bow and arrow!

I used to be an adventurer like you, until I took an arrow in the ribs, just above my iron vest...

i concur with the bug fixes and etc. The kill cams aren't really necessary for skyrim imo as opposed to building your own house for example. Dunno why they're going to include this function

Because they're working on getting new stuff into the game as well as fixing bugs. And building your own house isn't any more necessary than kill cams, so that statement is invalid.
They're just spreading the brutally violent love to playstyles other than melee fighters, which as an archer I will certainly enjoy. I'm certain there will be bug fixes in the patch too

We'll wait and see what bug fixes will be on at this game but as of now it seems like they're focusing on new content only. Don't get me wrong I like the idea of new content being free but do it after you get PS3 version and the main game nearly all bugged out.

Out of all the things listed from Game jam ranged kill cams are not essential, where as building your own house is far more cooler and brings about a more rpg-ish side to skyrim than ever before. Kill cams as CCNA pretty much stated are alright but i just don't see how it's something to add right now in comparison to the other neat ideas they talked about.

Great. So from now on i don't get one hit killed only by ancient dragons and two handed weapon wielding Marauders, but mages and archers too :goodjob: Time to finally get that mod that disables them.
I'm just quoting this to point out how excited people are about the patch.
Now to my actual point:
Don't you realize what it will actually do if NPCs and enemies can do them on our character? All those long range dodgings, running away from mages and archers to hide, will be gone. They'll glue you to the floor, stop you from drinking a potions and kill you with a half kilometer sniper shot in full slow-motion. Fun?

if ranged kill cam is based on replay, problem will be fixed, means it is not based on click but based on hit, when the killing hit connected, everything freeze or slow motion, then the camera zoom on to the target and run a death cam... that's maybe just my imagination...

What excites me most is that if they add in one feature from the Game Jam, they will most likely be adding more...

It sure does :) The mechanics of the kill cams are not perfect - the freezing in space is particularly irritating, as often that is exactly long enough for me to have interrupted a power attack (e.g. with fus) and so my character dies a needless death.

on the other hand, it will look cool. There have been some awesome deaths already with ranged combat.

Now what would be cool - is notice how it is Kill Cams on Ranged WEapons in the Game Jam video?

And the only Ranged Weapons present in Vanilla Skyrim are ... Bows?????

While also in the Game Jam Video, Spears are added into Skyrim?

See where I'm going with this.

Killcams are the thing I miss when using archery or destruction. Those fun cinematic deaths of the last enemy you fall. I hope to see a guy lifted into the air be electricity and hurled away.
I guess you can wave bye bye to shooting an arrow and move to cover. It'll all be messed up with silly killcam junk.
Why is my friggin spell checker not working on this forum .. grr
Killcams don't trigger unless its the last enemy to die, so who are you taking cover from?

I don't care if it's kill cams, giant mudcrabs, dragur that plays poker on Fredas nights or dragons with rotation Adorning Fan heads that are marked essential and scream "BY AZURA, BY AZURA, BY AZURA".... as long as they're continuing to support the game and add new items, I'm a happy boy.

Did I mention that I'm easy to please?

Because you can't turn it off, and it changes the game to what many people don't want.
It makes it even more like a FPS, and there are enough of them already.
