Lacking 1st person view while riding a horse, not very good! : V

Topic says it all, I think this should be adressed. Some people really want to stay in 1st person even when they are riding a house insted of walking, running.
And I never use bow attack or sword attack in 1st person view, kinda svcks the only option on the back of a horse is 3rd person view, heh.

I concur.... I want to shoot/slash in first-person as I gallop along, not this crappy third-person garbage. If there's no first-person, I doubt I'll start using horses now any more than I ever have. They're superior mountain climbers, and that's about all mounts really have going for them.

First person horse riding. To be honest, I've never thought about it. The most thought I've put into horses is "Excellent, they can climb over mountains" and "The (dis)mount animation never gets tired."

I'd have to see it first before I can make a decision. While I stay in FP off the horse, it still looks weird to me as I run about. I feel so ... small.

I love to play as an archer in first perseon, but i think it is a tad more realistic that you
actually shoot from a horse in third person. There is a major movement issue when you
want to take aim in third person and at the same time are in movement, so doing so on
a horse would make little sense. I mean: would you really want to stand still on a horse so
you can shoot the targets or would you prefer to be in motion?

I somewhat agree. At close to medium encounters it is better to use first person view, but when you
shoot from a very long distance i think it's better to use the third person because you get a better field of view,
that is: if the target is in movement, like hawks.

I love third person as an option and love that Bethesda really went all out in trying to improve the third person look of Skyrim, but I think there should definitely be ab option for first person view on horseback.

But I thought I saw first person archery being used in the video someone made of the beta when drawing their bowstring back.

agreed too. But for the moment i have discovered that patch 1.6 changes the camera settings especially on horse ! so the fake first person mod doesnt work anymore,
how can i change the new camera settings ???

It would probably work better with bows and magic that you need to aim at a distance.

yeah indeed. Maybe melee would be better still in 3rd person, but 'normal' riding, bows and magic should be also available in 1st person.
