Yeah I just created a god character (using an editor with max CHA INT STR speech etc) and headed over there and talked to just about ever person and I couldn't find out anything about his current state.
Marcus hinted that he was dead but it's not 100%.
Maybe the wikia has been under some trolling.
(Which would svck because I'd like Jacob to be this awesome guy who did amazing things after leaving Broken Hills in the hands of Marcus and not just lived there until he died of old age.

That's why I don't really refer to Wiki much about things because the "anyone can edit it" aspect leaves it far too vulnerable to misinformation. It could be true but as many times as I played Fallout 2 I never once saw anything that indicated Jacob had just up and left. The most I got out of Marcus was indications that Jacob had died.

Hopefully he found out what happened to Jacob.
It's one of the mysteries of the fallout world that I am the most anxious to hear about.

Didn't Jacob die of old age?

rex makes items highlight... when zoomed in? i'm really not sure what they mean? while in first person? aiming down iron sights?
anyways arcade seems kinda meh to me.
if he would he you maybe cool but just enhanced healing?
if i could have multiple partners maybe but, rex seems more worthwhile to me.

I think if you ask around town you get the "real story" about Jacob (that he couldn't overcome his prejudice and live with what he still considered freaks) and are implored to NEVER tell Marcus.

Now, this is all based on some VERY fuzzy memories, so I'd recommend you dig about further yourself, because for all I know I dreamed it.

Of course, I think I'll be wary of Robodog and Purple Supermutant that looks like the lovechild of Hulk and Barney the Dinosaur.
