Liberty Prime

The Enclave cannot because they're once again a destroyed faction and are spread out all over the place.
Maybe in 20 years (fallout years) when they have reorganized themselves again but by then the BOS will probably have him up and running.
But seeing as Optimus' original parts were blown to the moon and they have to use parts of their own I'm gonna guess that Optimus will never be in top shape again.
I'm sure he'll be super powerful but as powerful as in fallout 3? Nope.

Depends on the player choice, The enclave now in the DC have a Tesla (Correct my spelling) Cannon, Dc is now enclave controlled, BoS in the DC area is no more.

Trust me, it's not the canon ending.
The good ending (siding with BOS and blowing up Crawler) is most certainly the canon ending.
It's always been the good ending.

No decepticons, autobots, combaticons, maximals, omnicons, predacons, protectobots, stunticons, terrorcons, ultracons, aerialbots, vehicons or insectocons in Fallout. Any of them. At all. Ever again. Good day sir.

Meh, Lets move this argument to the Enclave thread. Liberty prime has nothing to do with the enclave so lets move the Debate.

I hope they don't repair him and that he doesn't show up in any more games.
I mean, the final quest in vanilla FO3 was a cakewalk, he was instakill shoop da whoop.
His powerlevel was well over 9000 and that's just not giving anyone else a fair chance.
Maybe having him as an enemy would mix it up a little and make him something to fear but having him on your side just makes things too easy.

how do you beat him? good luck on hardcoe

Well, I thought about that when i blew up the citadel, I thought that the enclave will rule the DC area, And when i played through last month, I saw the enclave had a Checkpoint at a Satcom array, So they may be trying to contact the other enclave, The world may never know.

Actually the Enclave can, How did they build that Mobile crawler? And get all that nuke tech?

By raiding Pre-War sites, same way every other faction got their tech. Want another mobile crawler? Go look around Florida, they've got a couple they use moving spacecraft into launch position. Somebody else's plans, somebody else's tech, Enclave digs through the rubble and fabricates some parts. Ta-da!

I sure hope not, it looked like it was designed by a ten year old who's still impressed by giant robots and flashing lights

I am curious as to why people expect all thing characters to return to this game. Its a NEW game so lets have NEW people and things in it.

Yes! What is with all these threads polling/asking whether or not someone/some thing will return from Fallout 3? Dogmeat, Harold, the Enclave, Three Dog, and now Liberty-freaking-Prime?! Do people want more interaction with these characters so badly they are willing to throw all sense of lore and believability out the window? Or do they just not know that ( A ) Fallout: New Vegas does not have 3 in its title and is not an expansion pack, and ( B ) New Vegas is 2500 miles away from the Capital Wasteland (4023 kilometers for our international friends)? Fallout is about the world, not specific characters or factions.

Give the developers a chance to create new factions and characters for you to fall in love with and demand return in a future Fallout title (thus learning no lesson).

So . . . do I want to see Liberty Prime again? Considering my first response to Liberty Prime in FO3 was a muttered "Oh, Lord . . . ." I'll let you guess. (The answer is no.)

@Above.
I'd have preferred a tank. Or just a device that was awesome.... I mean, letting liberty prime take all my kills svcked. I was VERY glad he got blown up in Broken Steel. "OH how I cried THANK YOU!"

This thread is just too far, I was ok with some FO3 fan boys who don't know anything wanting some things to return. No need to blame them for that. But LIBERTY PRIME?!?!?!?!?!? Just WAY too far. Let's just take the whole freakin CW with us to the Mojave. West Coast is a whole lot different people.

I hope he doesn't return. It would not make sense at all, seeing as how nobody has the capabilities to repair and replace his missing/destroyed parts anymore. I mean, it took the Pre-War US years to make him, how could an orginization that almost completely relies on scavenging repair it after it was blown into a million pieces?

NO! It was a one of a kind and it was destroyed. Liberty Prime was so stupid. The Pre-war American Military could not get it to work and yet the BoS where able to get it to work with wasteland junk? It's not even clear how they go it to work. There should have been a big quest to get parts. Then it gets blown up and the BoS ask you to find cameras to help fix it :bonk:

Apparently a post-war "scientist" can figure out the problems that the top pre-war scientists could not.

Not only that. One BoS scientist can figure out problems the enitre United States military with an entire nations resources and wealth could not. "Here's the problem, it's missing a camera flash bulb. Those Pre-war knuckleheads "

Another dumb thing about Liberty Prime, it has an unlimited supply of big ass nukes.

To be fair we only see him in action for a grand total of ten or so minutes in Fallout 3 and Broken Steel before he dies Frank Horrigan style. He has only ever used a small number of nukes when I've played the game.

Maybe unlimited is a bit much but I remember him using more then what is shown on his back. Nuke issue aside it was still dumb the BoS could fix it. No quests or explanation as to how they fixed it when the pre-war guys could not. Then all they need is camera flash bulbs to fix it when blown to hell.

Because they are no better than the BoS, they both like to recycle pre-war tech and take all the credit for it.

Whut. The Enclave made plenty of advancements, including an entirely new design of power armor that's significantly better than the prewar T-51b. Their plasma weapons were also very likely to be a postwar design, given that the prewar plasma rifle was more like the plasma caster.

Edit- baconator- So they shouldnt reference anything but a terrible DLC?

But the Pitt was one of the few well-written anythings from Bethesda. :(

It would have been nice if they kept the robot, but that the BoS never found out how to get it working. Ever.

I really hope there is'nt any Prime type bot in Vegas if only because of how unstable he made the game, honestly i had to look at the ground the entire time during the last main quest and the first BS quest becuse looking anywhere else would cause my PS3 to have a small stroke and completly freeze up.
