It's achieved some of that, but it's done so by being an enjoyable show.

Can't believe i'm saying this, but my curiosity has been poked.

Anyone possibly have a link? I have to see this for myself.

Very odd as it might seem I have grown to like the series considerably over the past week. Despite however being rather skeptical to watch in the first place because it didn't exactly appeal to my interests as I'm sure you can imagine. However after hearing plenty of good things about it decided to try it out. It was surprising very good with better writing then you will see with most cartoons anymore with nicely done characters and had a oddly additive charm to it. Its actually rather adorable without becoming nauseating, genuinely enjoyable, humor that isn't just for little girls, and while the central plot for many episodes have been used plenty of times in children shows (which is not necessarily a bad thing depending on the theme) does this without turning into a mindnumbing cliche.

Which to say that is there anyone else that enjoys the series and thoughts/discussion on the show itself (be it good or bad).

I'm planning on watching the series, but I held off due to it not being done airing. I have a tick where I can't commit to a series of anything unless it's actually done airing. Can't can't can't STAND when things go unfinished *cough*Firefly*cough*SGU*cough*.

Looks like it's done though, so I'll have to look it up on Hulu. Right up my alley though. http://www.hongfire.com/cg/data/25/caramelldansen.swf It's basically all the things I like.

This show is great. Why's everyone hating on it? It's barely for little girls.

..... My 3 year old daughter loves this show. I can't stand it myself. Gotta leave the room when it comes on, so much sunshine and rainbows and love and crap. Bleck. Not sure how any reasoning advlt MALE(I'm sure advlt females could enjoy it) could ever find enjoyment in watching this show.

Sunshine, rainbows, great writing, brilliant animation, good humour, good characters with excellent voice acting, workable plots, so on. You should give it a chance, you might be surprised - it's nothing like the older generations, thankfully.

Some people have a moral objection to bright, cheerful things, and imagine that without a mature show for mature people like themselves they are emasculated and somehow no longer vindicated as an advlt in society.

Well not really my kind of show, but the intro to the history was better than some of the more masculine types of movies and such.

But as always the second child gets screwed out of the inheritence and tries to one up the first born. But other than that no thanks.

Lol, Not trying to open up a can of worms, I just don't see how a guy could be interested in a show about talking ponies. I have given a try, I watched several episodes of it with my 3 y/o BEFORE I decided it was nothing I could possibly enjoy. As I'm NOT your typical guy who feels the need to hate on anything that's not "nascar/fishing/hunting/sports/insert other "Manly guy activities here"", and I myself can't stand the show, I am not sure I can imagine other guys really enjoying the show. I could be wrong, and obviously am, as there are, from what I can tell, other guys on this thread who like the show, but, it just seems odd to me, that's all.

I largely agree with you. So much so that I won't even try to watch the show.
