Since there going to have Vampire lord castle to game. You think they will put a Lycan castle in game where you work your way up to become Lycan leader or Alpha Lycan.

There are no Lycans in TES. Only lycanthropes.

Okay, let me start this off by saying this is not Underworld. I love your avatar of Lucien in his "Lycan" form by the way. But Lycanthropes aren't the type to build a large castle to dwell in. Sure, we have the Companions and the Circle, but werewolves are more loners than anything. If they do gather in numbers, it isn't too big. We're looking at five or six individuals. The Circle itself five, not counting the player.

Vampirism and Lycanthropy should be two different things. Elder Scrolls is not Underworld.

Nope.

Besides, if you're in a pack of werewolves who are really gung-ho about being werewolves and actually transforming and whatnot, I'd think they'd pick something a little more complementary to their gifts than a castle.

I know if I were the leader of a pack, I'd make a nice, inconspicuous village in the forest (think Falkreath) for my kind to live. Castles are too overt and forboding, plus they tend to have only one or two points of access, bottlenecking us if we need to transform and defend ourselves. A nice wide open area like a village in the woods allows us to attack from more angles and also lets us run off into the night to escape if need be.

Why would Lycanthropes want a castle?

What is this? Dawnguard is suddenly Werewolves v Vampires DLC. I don't think wolves need anything more. They've perks now. I understand the potentially lore breaking vampire lord from underworld is a bit like underworld but TES vampires and werewolves have their own lore. It just wouldn't fit.

Werewolves need one more thing; Lunar transformations.

All they need is Hircine's ring. Have it equiped, no forced transformations.

Nice avatar by the way, reminds me of a character I made. Both in name and appearance ;)

I really don't see what you hate about the forced transformations idea. How is it any different than being expected to feed as a vampire?

But some people might want Savior's Hide, and some people might want a different ring like Namiras

It has already been confirmed that you dont need to feed as a Vamp anymore, Lunar Transformations do not fit the lore of the Companion's Lycan variant and would only be an annoyance. You can "randomly" turn without any forcing and so it does not need to be in the game

Don't think a werewolf can't necessarily have a castle, but it wouldn't be a traditional castle. Something like a fortified cave or cliff side would fit them better. As for beth putting them in dawnguard, no. It is a vamp vs hunter and the werewolf perks were just to kind of balance out werewolfs and vamps a bit.

Then they deal with transforming, or get both the items from Hircine's quest. Besides, I doubt being forced to transform once or twice a month is going to be such an inconvenience.

Are you kidding? Lunar transformations are the best thing about werewolves. It's incredibly immersive. If you don't like it, all the better - it will remind you that lycanthropy is as much a curse as a blessing, as it should be.

Sinding was not part of the Companions. I wish we could have his Lycanthropy.

Yeah, two months is nothing compared to what we had in Bloodmoon.

Anything you can do yourself is "self-immersive" and since you haven't realized it yet, Beth went for Fun in Skyrim over Restrictive

It should be a blessing, its special deal with Hircine.

personally I do believe that vamps should get sun damage and werewolves should get forced transformations. Just seems like their is no reason not to be one.

Well Sun Damage was stress-inducing in OB and games are meant to be fun...not stressful

And that strikes you as a good thing?

Also, is there anything in game to support that the Companions' lycanthropy is a different variant than others? I thought that was just the consensus the community came to because we were trying to make sense of why things weren't as they should be (similar to the vampires being called Volkihar in game just using the name to misdirect people).

And if there really is a different variant explaining all this, here's a simple solution: Add the other variant to the game so people can choose.

Fun is an opinion. This could be considered less or more fun by others. Restrictions and fun are not necessarily opposites. If their were no restrictions to anything we would all probably be board in 5 minutes.

Glenmoril Witch Coven bestowed onto the Circle for worship of Hircine...not the regular variant. It explains it if yu do the Companions quests
