I think that New Vegas was so spot on, that even Mr. New Vegas was damn good.

Of course, you pretty much have to be a fan. Otherwise he can come off as a bit of a blowhard.

Yes, lets completely forget about the guy who voices characters like Motor-Runner, THAT GUY SPEAKS IN MONOTONE. HE NEVER FLUXUATES IN TONE. :brokencomputer:

Well, he does lead a gang of drug-addicts. The fact that he hasn't fried his brain to the point of the others doesn't mean his brain isn't fried. :D Besides, I've met people IRL that talk like that.

I heard Benny talk to me while gagged-up in the desert waiting to be shot. All I thought was... "what crazy hijinks are comin' my way?"

He did a good job, and I was never a fan of 'Friends'.

now ill admit it didnt seem like a roll id imagine mathew perry being. he was to play a sort of rat pack-like shyster, and although its not typically what youd expect mathew perry to be, he pulled it off very well. he made benny a very likable character, even though the guy tried to kill you twice lol. mathew perry was great in both friends and in his movie rolls(whole 9 yards was a great example) and this just enforces his capabilities as an actor.

It doesnt matter, hell, the Securitrons are more lively than Motor-Runner voiced NPCs

M-R voiced guy-"Thanks for saving my daughter. I am so happy you can tell it in my voice"

Have you seen The Whole Nine Yards (or the sequel)? Almost Heroes? Fools Rush In? I think he's a great actor when his character fits his personality. I find him to be pretty funny and that sort of humor seems to come out through Benny's dialogue (Benny's a poser but he tries at least).

I thought Perry did a fantastic job. Benny was by far my favorite character in the game, in no small part do to the voice acting. Also, Friends hate is so ten years ago.

That's not acting. That's just being yourself on camera, and being paid for it lol. He is extremely good at that.

I do like him though. I'm a big Friends fan myself, I thought he was brilliant in that. In my opinion, he was good in this game but not great. He did a good enough job for me to get a proper understanding of the character he was playing, but I just thought that he really sounded as though he was reading from a script. Which is never a good thing. It's certainly not a major problem in a video game though.

I don't get the hate against Matthew Perry's voice work. I think he did a great job. Honestly I may have not even noticed it was him had I not watched the making of DVD before playing the game. Also, I think he's pretty underrated as an actor. Oh, and I hate Friends.

I say, why not Mathew Perry? I didn't even know that he was Benny until after my 1st time through the story and i was impressed, even though i'm not much of a fan of some of his other stuff.

Why Kris Kristofferson as the Desert Ranger Cpt.? I think Sam Elliot would've been a way cooler choice, but that Kris Kristofferson guy did an alright job. I think everyone did an awesome job as far as the voice acting part of the game.....except Wayne Newton. That guy made me wanna claw my eyes out with scrap metal and hammer surplus 5.56 rounds in my ears. They should've gotten Tom Jones or Niel Diamond as Mr Vegas.

Why is not recognising his voice being considered as a pro? Doesn't that completely defeat the purpose of hiring a celebrity voice actor?

I knew it was him right off the bat. The way he delivered his lines was just.. Matthew Perryish (good thing).

It doen't even really sound like Matthew Perry, and certainly doesn't sound like Chandler. If I didn't know it was him beforehand I wouldn't have noticed. I thought he did a pretty good job, along with the other well known voice actors.

I haven't noticed any other characters voiced by the same actor yet. Whether or not it's intentional I think it is appropriate for a drugged-up gang leader to talk like that. Have you ever had a conversation with someone that was a regular drug user in real life? A lot of them actually do talk like that.

I never watched Friends. I know the actor though.

I was unimpressed by his voice acting. It seemed so... dull. There wasn't any feeling or energy there. Is that just how Benny was supposed to be? I don't know. But Mr. Perry's VA was definitely sub-par compared to others who worked on this.

Hey, Zone, nice nod to Total Recall.

You guys say the same thing about Mr. New Vegas.

You miss the entire point of the laid back slang and attitude that emit from Benny and Mr. New Vegas.

While I think its cool that an actor likes, or even has the time to play an RPG, Perry never really stood out to me. I consider him a one hit fad from Friends. Actually, now I know why he has time to play RPGs, he doesn't have any work.

Because he's an obnoxious, sarcastic dbag even when he's trying not to be. He was perfect for Benny.
