Moral Choices.. to join Stormcloaks

Lets give a bit of history of the past 200 years...

...When every action the emperor takes is only in reaction to threats against the IC, I'd say the empire is mainly concerned with the IC.(This is not to say the legion is. But they serve the emperor)

While this would be a great argument against Mede's leadership ability, looking after the Empire's central province during a crisis, or even the Empire itself, doesn't equal to racism. Imperials are named after the Empire but the Empire isn't all Imperial. The Thalmor overthrew Valenwood, Elsweyr, and even Argonia through internal strife. None of those can be said to be any more racist than if the Empire fails to stop Ulfric's rebellion. Failing to intervene against the invasion of Morrowind is unfortunate, but I can see how it was reasoned considering that the invasion occurred after the eruption of Red Mountain and the entire province was facing massive emigration. At least one Dunmer in Kynesgrove says you'd have to pay her to return there, and I'm assuming that it was seem as strategically expendable. It certainly isn't a decision I'd support though.

This might be a bit difficult to grasp at first. A lot of metaphysics stuff going on. It's a dev correspondance between two characters.
Edit: Here's the quote that directly mentions it

Alright, I see it. Assuming what they're saying is true anyway.

That's real life isn't it. If you never get to know someone, you never know what to really think of them. If you treat your boss with disdain he's not going to be as receptive to you.

Shatter-Shield's reasoning was that Argonians aren't worth as much as a Nord. Nothing excuses him from that.

The Greybeards are said to be the most intelligent humans in existance. Ulfric trained under them. The Greybeards know the importance of Talos quite well having trained Ysmir himself.

Alright, it's possible that the Greybeards would have taught Ulfric the importance of Talos. If he did know of it he didn't seem to think it was an important argument though. He spoke of Talos in terms of being a Nordic symbol, not a necessity for stopping Nirn's end. Neither would he have been surprised by the appearance of Dragons (don't think he could explain it to my character either, iirc) and them lamented in Sovengarde (obviously requires Imperial victory) about how Imperials/Stormcloaks should've payed more attention to the true threat.

Hard to take the fight to the thalmor if the imperials outlaw it and try to kill you.

Guerrilla warfare is a well-established method of fighting against a superior enemy. He would have won much more support as well if he fought the Thalmor while condemning the cooperation of the Empire. I dare say the guilt might've turned public opinion throughout the Empire so much that Mede would be forced to reconsider the treaty.

I wasn't referring to the Dunmer, who were invited by one of the previous kings. I was referring to the Argonian ban that ULFRIC implemented. Might be one of those things that Marsh talks about only after the Imperials take over the city, but he did specifically mention Ulfric being the cause.

It's probably for the best that the Argonians are forced to live outside the city. The Dunmer and Argonians would slaughter each other.
