You can't throw a sticky at what you can't see my friend.

I am sure they are somewhere.

If they are noobs I will play with bots since I know they have my back, along with the Legion.

haha very tru. ill jus have to keep my eyes peeled for ya.

and yeah im hoping the bots are as good as others have been sayin. btw do we know if we can change the bot difficulty in single player? i would imagine the bots to be set to medium for mp if there is an option to change difficulty.

I think it'll be more of a "WTF are y- Oh. That... worked... surprisingly well?" build.

People won't expect it to work, then when it does, it's even more awesome.

If I was any good at tanking things, I'd do it just to encourage more people to play Heavies.

I think i am going to favourite the heavy. I have a plan that will allow my heavy to smart more than it should. And when i say plan i mean just use more manual jumps in conjunction with smart.

Okay, here we go:
First Few Weeks
Light Operatives are the most popular, medium engies close behind. Medic is the least used class. Large Soldiers are somewhere in the middle. (see MNC, with assassins everywhere, people love playing the stealthy ninja class.

Third Month
Operatives are still the most popular class, but not by much. Soldiers are second, people are realizing they want to be more offensive. Engineers are third, what can I say, sentries are fun to toy with. Medics are still last, unfortunately.

Final Stage
Operatives are finally knocked out of the lead; they are now the third most popular class. Soldiers are first, with engineers next. Sorry, but I don't see medics being too popular.

That's what I envision happening, anyway.

I think Medic popularity may surprise you.

Particularly when people realise they can self-resurrect.

I agree, it seems to me that medics are the second most popular, with engies and soldiers being a toss up for last

I have a feeling medic and engineer will be the most popular to start followed by operative then soldier after the first week.

Eventually after that it will balance out more to the point where I think only medics will be the most used but not by much and operatives will be the least used. That's they way I'm calling it. I'm just basing this off my battlefield and tf2 experiences and what I have read about people who have played Brink.

That and medic seems like they will be the biggest XP [censored]s out of all the classes.

Congrats, PC gamers, on not having to be as scared of Light Ops (or do we have a good one there too? Wouldn't surprise me...)

I think for the first few days at least, and maybe up to a week, players are going to mostly be Soldier/Medic. Once Lights start unlocking, there will be a massive surge of Operatives as everyone decides to be ninjas.

As things start to stabilise over the next month or so, we should see more of a balance, with Ops being the least popular, and the Engies/Medics tossing up for first, leaving Soldiers close behind. The shift will be gradual, and when prices drop for the game anywhere in the world, there will probably be brief spikes in Soldier numbers, followed by brief spikes in Operative numbers soon after.

I could be wrong, but that's my current in-depth prediction.

EDIT: Spotted. No action at present.

At first we're going to have Light Operatives out the wazoo. After that dies down I think we'll be seeing a lot more Medics and Engineers, and a lot more people returning to the Medium bodytype. However, there will still be a lot of Operatives. Nothing will stop people from trying to be ninja assassins, not even the inability to be ninja assassins.

Quote. For. Truth. Even N. Alphonso said they aren't designed to be assassins, and yet that's what they are / will be in people's minds.

And I'm surprised about the Engineer craze, frankly. Last I heard, Engi's weren't getting a lot of love, so I embraced the class....

God dammit why do people have to use engineer. I hate being one of the most used classes. Whatever starts to become the least used class is the one I'll be using. Hopefully I don't have to but I will do it

yeah same here cept ill be playin operative once the numbers go down. it wouldnt matter as much if this was a regular game but since brink is objective base it actually hurts the team if theres too many of one class.

Operative will definitely be the most overused until people realize it is not as easy as they think (just like the Spy in TF2) to be that "ninja-assassin" that the operative is wrongfully believed to be. Medic will be the second most popular class imo because it seems to be able to garner the most XP, and that will by followed by the engineer in third, and the soldier in last. I think the soldier will fall into the least used class because people will actually have to be right up in the mix of things, and do a lot of the dirty-work for their team as a soldier. Which, frankly, I don't think too many people are fond of. A few months after release I think Medic will be the most played, followed by the engineer, the operative will have dropped to third, and the soldier will still be in last.

Most used body-type will be light for the first little while because people will want to experience the SMART system to its full extent. Heavy will be the second most popular imo because of their exclusive weapons and their extra-health. Medium will be last because it is the class everyone will be forced to start as, and people will want to experiment with the other two. Eventually though this will change, and I think Medium will become the most popular, followed by Heavy, and Light in last. Personally I think Light is going to be a lot harder to play than people think it will be.

We'll just have to wait and see though.

its gotta be the soldier. but then again, u can never really tell, cuz the campaign calls for u to have a certain class to advance in the mission so. theeres my 2 cents.

The class everybody will be playing will be the easiest class.

IMO this will be soldier - medium body type. Its nothing outside of a comfort zone. All the new players will relate to this class/type combo as its similar to other FPS games -note similar not the same-.

Lights and heavies will be specialist types. YOu will see people using them, but only for laughs. The players who use them religiously will be those niche players who specialise in one thing and then dominate in their respective area.

I for one will be playing a heavy medic as my idealistic class but i will be bouncing around depending on my mood. I won't be stuck to one area of gameplay i'll just play game by game and see if i feel like doing something else.

About MNC - honestly what I see the most of is Gunners, then Snipers, then Support/Assassins. And apart from myself, I've literally seen less than ten Assassins who didn't feed horribly almost every round.

As for Brink, Light everything will probably be the most popular build for the first few weeks - people are going to be SMARTing around like no tomorrow until the novelty wears off. But I can definitely agree that Operatives will be the most popular.

Third Month
Operatives are still the most popular class, but not by much. Soldiers are second, people are realizing they want to be more offensive. Engineers are third, what can I say, sentries are fun to toy with. Medics are still last, unfortunately.

I say maybe to Operatives still being in first after three months, but if they are it won't be by much like you said. I don't see Medics being in last though - I see it being ~30% Operatives, ~30% Medics, ~25% Soldiers, and ~15% Engineers. Medics are going to be rolling in the XP, so their being popular is inevitable.

Final Stage
Operatives are finally knocked out of the lead; they are now the third most popular class. Soldiers are first, with engineers next. Sorry, but I don't see medics being too popular.

That's what I envision happening, anyway.

I see a pretty even spread at this point, with something along the lines of 28% Soldiers, 27% Medics, 24% Operatives and 21% Engineers.

But I suppose only time will tell.

EDIT: Also, Mediums will probably end up as the most played bodytype, followed by Light, then Heavy. Though I doubt the gap between Light and Heavy will be too large.

God dammit why do people have to use engineer. I hate being one of the most used classes. Whatever starts to become the least used class is the one I'll be using. Hopefully I don't have to but I will do it

Is it really that important to play the least used class? Why not just play what you think you'll enjoy the most?

Because he wants to be able to make a difference. If there are too many of any one class on the battlefield their objectives will overlap, minimizing their efficiency as well as the team's.

For some the fun comes form being able to help out more, but it still svcks when everybody takes the "good classes" and the only way to be a real help is to take on a lesser role.

I like to be different too, but not to the point where I'm using things I don't like using, and not using things I do like using. Luckily for me, Engineer and Soldier are the classes I want to be most, and my predictions for the classes are as follows:

Week 1: Operative, Medic, Engineer, Soldier.

Week 11: Medic, Operative, Engineer, Soldier. (much closer race though)

Week 111: Same as Week 11.

So I'm all set as far as being "different" goes. :disguise:

And we all get to look unique anyway. Not like all Engineers will look the same.

I understand that concept, but the way I read his post it sounds he's more concerned about having a unique "main" more than anything. Like if he didn't want to play a warlock or rogue in WoW because they're more popular than priests or warriors.

Choosing a "main" class because it is used the least and choosing a class because no one else in the lobby is playing it are are two similar, but distinct concepts. But I could have misinterpreted his post, and if that is the case Zero, I apologize.

EDIT: Edited for clarity.

Well if the objective wheel is as godly as it is meant to be....

then it shouldn't matter as people will always be doing things to help their team and will always be different classes :D

That is, if the wheel turns out to be the mythical godlike being we all have been led to believe it will be.
