MW3 Pre-orders

:(

I hoped Battlefield would stop them. I bet kotick will copy some BF3 stuff in the next CoD and they will all go on about how its so much better.

Battlefield knew they wouldn't trump them this year.

That's a big "[censored] you" to everyone against the game. Bottom line, it's a good game, its a proven formula, it's addicting, and the new Elite feature is bound to be insanely popular.

Call of Duty is the World of Warcraft of FPS'ers.

Yea I think its just kind of cool thing to hate COD. By no means is it a great game but it's fun to play with friends.

Just because it has more sales does not make it a good game.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean it's a bad game. It's not innovating , it's not fresh, and it's not even great but it is fun for millions of people world wide and that says something. And no it's not that there are millions of stupid gullible people.

I never said it was a bad game (although I think it is awful) and sure let the people have their fun, I'll have fun sticking to my RPG's :user:

This is an RPG forum I dont expect anything less tbh. Some just love to hate the popular things in life, makes them feel good I guess.

Personal opinion of course, but it just amazes me. Apart from a slightly different campaign that will take a few hours to complete, and maybe a few slight multiplayer changes, it's practically identical to its predecessor. When a new game comes out I look for something that's new, something that's fresh and exciting. Every new Elder Scrolls game for example is different, they're all unique yet are deliberately slightly similar, which is brilliant. I'm not a fan of the Assassins Creed series, but even then each new game has something new and exciting to offer. I fail to see how the Call of Duty franchise does this.

Why do people care if CoD is the top? Battlefield 3 isnt all that, its another shooter, and its not like an RPG like Skyrim was ever going to take the cake. And thank goodness, otherwise they'd add multiplayer and dumb it down even more. We'd also get a tonne of squeakers coming to the forums trolling the hell out of us.

I missed that whole conversation. :P

Though, I didn't say just because it has good sales it's a good game, so not sure where you were going with that originally.

Haterz gonna hate :spotted owl:

Anyway, this doesn't seem like a huge surprise. The series has exploded in terms of fanbase size.

I'm one of those 9+million

This shows there is no hope left in this world anymore when it comes to gaming. But on the other hand 11/11/11 is only 4 days away.

Put in my pre order today.

I'll buy it, play it and enjoy it, just like last year.

You can't kill the franchise, it chose jug as its second perk. :teehee:

Orly?

Ugh.
Doesn't mean it will be good.

And that is why CoD never changes. There are too many "weak minded" fans who play the same thing over and over again.
It's kinda depressing really.
:(

This makes me sad. Too much die hard fans gulping it up.
Its the same thing over and over again.
Its just a reskin of mw2
I long for the day when I see the title of "CoD series being discontinued!" however I'm afraid that day may never come...

I honestly thought BF3 was gonna make a larger dent in COD sales.

I played the BF3 demo and thought it was great.

Even though both are FPS yada yada, i think BF and COD appeal to different types of players.

I dont see why people want Battlefield 3 to dethrone CoD. Does it really matter which FPS is on top. As long as you play games you enjoy, who cares it people buy CoD and eat it up and it has the most sales.

CoD is more accessible to a wider audience. Same thing with the Madden series.

Stereotypes will always have exceptions, but a lot of more casual video game players like these sort of games because they're looking to have a fun multiplayer experience, and don't necessarily mesh well with the idea of sticking with a game even after sequels come out. I mean hell, if I can play a game with friends and have a good time, that's going to mean a lot more to me than a quality single-player experience. (Although I'll still really enjoy the single-player experience as well)
