Doesn't mean it will be good.

I saw a multiplayer gameplay video today and it look EXACTLY (and I mean EXACTLY) the same as modern warfare 2. There was a map which looked EXACTLY like Rust on mw2 (although different maps were shown). I think the only difference was different animations for reloading and cocking etc. new maps and I think there was new killstreaks (this time, the UAV is the 'advanced UAV' and the helicopter follows you around and helps you out).

Not like I was going to buy it anyway, but the video was an utter disgrace.

I think this was the video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ocdVOroJk4 Not too sure though.

Even if that it not the video some of the comments make me sick, 'MW3 = Modern Wargasm 3' '[censored], if it ain't broke, don't fix it. I couldn't care less if it's the same gameplay and/or graphics as MW2. I enjoyed that? game and I will probably enjoy this one. I have a fulltime job so I'm not good at these games and this one at least gives me the chance to get some kills.' (last one isn't so bad but still, 'chance to get some kills' shows people don't care for the game and only care about the ranks and stats.)

And that is why CoD never changes. There are too many "weak minded" fans who play the same thing over and over again.

On the other hand, the other numbers seem to almost make it look bad. Only half of those who pre-ordered black ops are returning for MW 3 right now, must have been a big turn down.

Suppose it is but at least we are not really affected. Some of us are strong willed and rebellious enough to 'FIGHT THE MACHINE' and not buy CoD just for the chance to get some kills.

Activision knows that people will buy the same game (With small tweaks) every year. Don't see the problem with them doing so. They apparently know how to make money. (And a lot of it at that)

I'm kinda glad I'm too burnt out on FPS games to care.

:(

I hoped Battlefield would stop them. I bet kotick will copy some BF3 stuff in the next CoD and they will all go on about how its so much better.

I'm pretty sure I know why:

Person A pre-orders and tells all his CoD friends that he's moving to MW3
Friends of Person A pre-order too, because they have no choice if they want to continue playing together
Friends of those friends are told and they pre-order too so they won't be left out
etc.

So for every person who pre-orders, they cause a chain reaction of more pre-orders.

I long for the day when I see the title of "CoD series being discontinued!" however I'm afraid that day may never come...

Yeah, in terms of preorders, Skyrim will never match up to a multiplayer game. I think its amazing that they've done 2 million preorders (in USA, not counting digital distribution, so probably up that number beyond 3, not counting all the people who will pick it up over the next few months).

Nothing surprising here. Last week they already said they had past the 3mill mark in preorders. 6 hours left for me!!

That would've been breaking news.

This isn't really news.

Tbh, I'm so fed up by all this modern warfare hype. Not just "Modern Warfare" per se, but all types of modern warfare - BF3 and the rest. The same crap over and over, sensationalized ideas of the socalled "heroic soldiers fighting for freedom". Well anyways, not my cup of tea, I prefer some real imagination.

Personally, I'm not a big fan of the series. Honestly though, I really don't get why people who play it are bombarded with so many hate remarks. If they enjoy COD, why the hell is it your concern?
