The Taco Filling is beef, it last the same amount of time normal beef last for, we have to follow industry standards, we use are beef sooner and keep it around for a shorter period of time than many do at there homes(5 days tops normal, often less). Now as for the quality well its high in fat and has a fair amount of water in it, if you notice the the meat at Taco Bell always looks moist. I don't eat the food myself, its been years since I made myself something to eat there. Though I now and again try some of the frutistas.
While what you say is true about the Taco Filling, because by def if there is anything other than meat(i.e water, spices) the filling itself is not 100% beef. But this is not what the lawsuit is about or the perception being presented, its about the meat having "fillers" of unknown, dubious or perhaps dangerous origin. Which is absurd. Reminds me of the people thinking the chicken from KFC came from some mutant animal.
That's funny, because when I make tacos at home they don't come out looking or tasting anything like they do at Taco Bell. Industry secrets? Bah!!! I wouldnt buy that for a dime, If one makes tacos with real 100% beef, it's going to look like you made it with 100% beef, not that grey looking beeflike substance that they pass off as real beef.
I can understand that they use spices, and maybe a certain amount of grease and water may be included in the raw product, but once cooked, a great deal of that oil and water is cooked out, and the remaining portion should be considerably more than 30% meat..
So again, all I want is to know what the heck I am putting into my body when I eat at Taco Bell, cause it sure as hell ain't even close to 100% beef
