Don't care much for them, rather have them work on quests, lore, characters and companions.
But for the world builders then yeah I guess, would expand the game more and give it some freshness.

This poll is very damn [censored] bias.

The only reason I said no is because dungeon crawling is not a classic Fallout trait.

So are you making a thread for this in every section of the forums? Your poll is stupid. If you like dungeon crawling so much then sell New Vegas and go back to F3, and what secret bomb shelter are you talking about?

And "We" don't need anything, was is it with people and using the word we as if they can speak for everyone? We don't need [censored].

All the scenery? Wow, did people really miss the copypasta subway stations that much?

I'm gonna go no on this because it's not what Fallout is about.

I don't really think it's what Fallout is about either but hell, at least it would add something to the "main game" instead of being a game within a game DLC completely like DM was. (with the exception of a new house and an exploit vending machine.)
But I don't really care about it.
Would rather have the new items and armors to be added to the main games vendors if it makes sense and have generic enemies use them too (I HATE it when "I" get to use weapons but no enemy does, I want to face an enemy wielding a GMG every once in a while but the only way is to drop one with ammo down so that an enemy picks it up and uses it against me. :( ) and maybe add the new enemies (if it makes sense) the the main games area too.

No. There are enough sewers and underground tunnels and vaults and other interiors to suit me. What I want are more quests. Nothing is more disheartening to come upon shack after shack that are boarded up, and then when you find someone they don't even turn around, just say their line and keep walking. Can I put Rex's brain in a Deathclaw and go scampering about with my big buddy?

So because I don't care about dungeons all of a sudden I'm "boring" and "I don't have a personality"? The [censored] bias and [censored] personal attack was a [censored] lowblow.

Edit: OP if you're trying to make a point, you don't [censored] insult whoever might be reading your argument.

i agree with the op, and as usual the die hard anti FO3 fans love the empty non dynamic static map world of new vegas, they hate dungeons and large buildings or towns to explore, they actually prefer a barren desert with absoloutely nothing exciting happening, i'm done with new vegas, two months of it was enough to last a lifetime, i gave it a chance and its only fun the first couple playthru's...it certainly isn't a game thats fun to play for two years like bethesda games are. at least RAGE and Skyrim are gonna be out later this year, november and september. those along with stalker coming out to the consoles next year will keep me busy till FO4 comes out.

FO3 had tons of different locations, takoma industrial, the mall, la enfant plaza, falls church, the capitol building, dupont circle, and most of the other locations are NOT copy and pasted, the metros were but the rest wasn't, FO3 had tons of unique dungeons and locations, and talking about copy and pasting ?, 99% of the new vegas map is desert, and lets keep talking about copy and paste, all the outposts for ncr and ceasers legions are TENTS, gee thats real unique, just sticking tents all over the map, and what about all the one room shacks? those are all copied and pasted, FO3 had way more unique locations, there isn't even a comparison.

Most of FO3's factory are copy-paster, most urban terrain are unimaginative for combat. What strikes me is that most interior map is just design with one path in mind, with a single back door if we are lucky.

i know right, what in the world is wrong with people nowadays, you can't scavange in the ruins of NV because there aren't any, if Bethesda isn't in charge of any future fallout game i'll have my doubts on buying it

:fallout:
FO3 had loads of unique locations, did you even explore all the areas of FO3? since you hate it i doubt you even actually even spent much time exploring and finding all the areas, its not all the same ROFL.. :nerd: .>>>the chrsyslus building, red racer factory, lob enterprises, the statesman hotel, the capitol building, the national archives, the national guard armory, lob enterprises, evergreen mills, raven rock, adams air base, the roosovelt academy, takoma industrial, the both sides of the capitol building, falls church, the talon company base and on and on, those places are all different, they aren't all the same, no way are you gonna tell me FO3's locations are all copied and pasted, what a joke, of course some areas are gonna be in almost any game but FO3 had dozens and dozens of various locations that were different, new vegas has tons of tents and one room shacks and they are definately copied and pasted. :cold:

...They all prefer more quests. If you were actually reading what they were saying instead of going off on a poorly-constructed rant, you'd realize this.

Now personally, I think NV could benefit from a dungeon pack DLC. In most other respects, NV's gameplay is excellent, but there isn't enough to shoot. Fallout 1 and 2 had random encounters for whenever I needed to get my kill on. Fallout 3 was pretty much nothing but dungeons filled with people to shoot. New Vegas, meanwhile, doesn't have either of these mechanisms.

Now, of course, I have mods to help me out with this. IWS, AWoP, and others all conspire to shore up NV's only major flaw - its terrible unguided exploration. That doesn't help console players though. And despite how much I laugh at console players and their antics, I do respect them, and I don't think they should be left out in the cold... So an official dungeon DLC is something I'd like to see. Maybe ~500-800 points/~10$, with a couple dozen new locations. No quests, voice acting, or anything, just a bunch of new locations with loot and raiders/muties/deathclaws/Legion/whatevers to shoot.

Nice poll choices. Pretty funny, really.

I'm at the point where I spend most of my time avoiding the MQ (It's awfully familiar by now), so I know where you're coming from. I'd be happy with a DLC that just distributes some more mines, caves, buildings, etc around the wastes.

How about we compromise between the ninjas and the boring people and hope that the next few DLCs have lots of quests that require exploration and combat?

I'm not sure where the 'this isn't what Fallout is about' attitude comes from, though. Seems like there were an awful lot of ruins, sewers, tunnels and abandoned vaults to explore in the original games. They were crawling with enemies, too. (I only played half of the first game, up to recovering the chip, but I've devoured the Wiki) That wasn't everything, of course, but neither was it everything in F3 and NV.

We have Diablo and most of the MMORPG for that

Look, I don't mind dungeons. I really don't, but I don't really care. Dungeon crawling isn't really part of the main focus of the series. I mean, Fallout 1 and 2 had a couple nice dungeons like the Toxic Caves, Vault 15, the Glow, and the Military Base (Fallout 2), but it wasn't what the two games really sported, and that was cities. I love each and every city in both Fallout 1 and Fallout 2. New Reno, Klamath, Shady Sands, the Lost Hills Bunker, Adytum, I love them all!

Well for PC users, (sorry console users... I really wish they could use mods), just get the World of Pain mod. You'd have all the dungon/cave/sewers to explore that you'd ever want and then some.

Instead of more dungons, what I'd really like are more city/town areas, complete with people and personal side quests to explore. Just in the New Vegas area alone, (Freeside, outer Vegas, etc), more buildings could be opened up, more settler/squatters added, with more small quests added. Another example is the Mojavie Outpost. It's been there for what.. close to 10 years now, maybe more. Since its such an importaint waypoint for trade between NCR California and New Vegas, I can't believe at least a small trader town hasn't been built up around it. Instead we have trader post 183. Why would that even exist? It only serves a map marker and a place to pick up Veronica.

r u serious ????? u can fight anywhere and people have but urban fighting is one of if not the hardest. unimaginative ????? u can t imagine what the enemy will have set up. wide open desert i run with ed e and he sees something like 250yds away i snipe it and it goes on and on. you need to have both settings and fo3 was better at it,but the region called for it. DC vs the desert and LV.FO3 was a bit more action packed.

we know where they r at in nv too im talking about the first play through. the first time u walk into an area. i like them both they r different but both good. fo3 had more action better ending that made sense imo. nv has a little more critical thinking involved but they blew it all with the events that lead to the ending
