A bit of communication would be nice from bethesda....
How hard is it for someone to say to the dev teams "what's the ETA on the next patch ?" and give us a rough date.... its not hard and it keeps customers happy and content to have a rough date on when we can hope bugs get fixed.... but what do i know its not like i went to an expensive business school or anything......
Christ after all these years you would think bethesda would have learned all we ever want from them is a little bit of information and the human touch on when we can expect updates.... not a corporate entity giving us no useful information..... i mean really bethesda hire a corporate team of investigators to check out how other game devs work their official forms... a little bit of humanity and information calms the masses big style instead of the bethesda PR brick wall we have grown to love/hate over these years !
It would be nice if they release something to let the customers know that the patches are coming and what the changes will be. Because right now it's just dead silence and I'm left wondering if the game is going to be left buggy as hell forever while the devs are busy cashing their giant bag of checks.
You'll never get details about patches before they're released from most developers. In fact, it would be a bad idea for them to give out that kind of information. First of all, if a certain bug isn't listed some people will start freaking out. Second, if something needs to change between the announcement and the release people will scream bloody murder about being lied to or a zillion other ridiculous accusations. No, most game companies have strict rules about releasing that kind of information, and for some really good reasons. Sorry.
Anyway, read the posts stickied at the top of every forum section, read the Bethesda Blog, etc. They haven't been silent. They've posted a bunch of stuff about a patch being in the works and suggestions to post details about your issues in the troubleshooting forums so the devs that keep track of what bugs people are finding. Take a look.
Yeah, it stinks that Bethesda chose not to push back the release date to make sure the bugs were fixed, but outside of that they've already released one major patch and have promised that they're watching the forums and working on more patches. I don't know what more could be expected at this point. The game's barely been out for two weeks.
