i don't remember vamp lords fitting in the lore

i think TES could use some fresh faces, the same races in every game in every part of the land is getting old. i have a feeling that they might add snow elves someday but i won't be a fan because they look like albino altmer...

we need a new race to play as that looks different from the rest...definitely no more elves or men

but right now snow elves are the only ones that make sense. because..

Spoiler
we have been shown that they are not extinct, and that its probable that are large conclaves of them dotted around the snowy regions

They're cool but I feel the tail... err... situation, would make them un-implement-able.(?)

Considering this may only be possible in a future game, who knows how well the render will be.

Also I had an idea with the vampiric situation, being infertile and unable to age. As we saw in the game curing vampirism is possible, and it would be an interesting weapon to well placate them.

As for the race, it would be interesting to play as them and I will definately give them a go

I'm trying to imagine the dialogue in the beginning of the game if you were a Snow Elf

Hadvar: "A Snow Elf? I didn't know there were any of you left. Captain, what should we do? He's not on the list."
Captain: "Forget the list, he goes to the block."
Hadvar: "Really? Do you really want to contribute to the extinction of the Snow Elves? He could be the last one for all we know! ...Fine, by your orders, captain. I'm sorry, I'll make sure your remains are returned to... uh... never mind."

PERFECT! JUST PERFECT! You sir won a top hat!

Still trying to get over Orcs being added in TES III to be honest.

10 races. That's actually quite a bit really.

It used to be in TES games that races meant something. That being a Nord actually made you a better fighter, especially at the beginning of the game. Now a Breton female can out-smack a husky male Orc any day. Kind of makes me sick really. With them all being so vanilla anymore I don't see the point of adding any more to be honest. You're just basically changing the skin.

I used to love my role-plays where I would play things like a female Altmer warrior and struggle to stay alive. Now it doesn't mean anything.

I completely agree. I think regardless of your levels and acquired skills the race element should always be prominent. It's a shame you can never find work, spend your time as a barman at a drinking den, be a courier or actually apprentice someone. You can't track animals either and be a known hunter/ survival outdoors man.

To simulate playing as a falmer (betrayed) play Skyrim with your eyes closed using sound alone and occasionally hissing to yourself.

Seriously though not really a race I'd love to be a wereshark or a Volkihar Vampire (no not the fake ones from Dawnguard) lol

KEEP THE SPOILERS AT A MINOR

Disscus races you would like to apear in future DLC, or other Elder Scroll games. State your opion why you want that race and why its a good idea.
Heres a link for different races in the Elder Scrolls World http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Ka%27Po%27Tun

Edit: While at link scrolls down below sources and there are the races

I'd like to see hairless apes and the Ayleids make a comeback. Hairless apes because they remind me of the game "Kingdom Under Fire" strangely and I've wanted to play an Ayleid since I've played Oblivion.

The Sload race would also be a unique play experience depending on how they would be implemented.

No. I wouldnt like it. Maybe in the next game, if it was set in a new era, or atleast a few hundred years in the future.
But i think we've got enough choice as it is. How much more do you need?!

I don't think Sloads would be put into any Elder Scrolls as a playable race , a mod might be made though. Being a Sload would probably be to hard to put, seance some are really big.

I agree. I think they'll only have humanoid playable characters. I think they will feature as npc though.

Along the way of the series I expect a return to playing as the Neravarine from Morrowind as wasn't he/she on his/her way to Akavir? And doesn't the Nerevar have the blessing of immortality (as far as aging?)

For those who think that Akaviri races don t fit in skyrim:

I am sorry but aren t you the dragonborn ?
Isn't akavir the land where the dragons came from?
Why not to launch an attack from akavir to tamriel since it is in chaos?
Haven't the akavir attacked skyrim in past times?
Finally isn′t Roscrea an island that is annexed to solitude and is between skyrim and akavir?

i don't think there should be any new races in skyrim but the next game sure if they set it up right so heres the races i think they should add to the next game.

The Maormer: I think it whould be cool to see the snake magic that they practic.

The Imga: I want this guys in the game to add mucle to the best races i imagen a 300 pound ape man comeing at you at full speed and i'm sure it will do some damge (i know that their supose to worship the high elfs but i think their has got to be some that don't shave themselfs)

I wish this was true, but unfortunately in Skyrim this 300 pound ape man would have the exact same strength as the skinniest Breton girl you could make. All you really have is a skin of a 300 pound ape man on the same 3 even attribute body that all races start with. I really miss the race, and even the six, differences that were in the prior TES games.

Why play as Imga? Their essentially the same shape as a troll I would assume.

Them and sloads and any un-humanoid races would be great NPC's though.

Bethesda could add a melee damage/carrying capacity bonus to simulate great strength. :ermm:

I'd like to see the Sload included even as npcs, but I'd also like to see non-humanoid pcs available. I mean who wouldn't have fun playing such a radically different and challenging race?

Not exactly, trolls are more alien than Imga and I'd assume they'd be more human-like than trolls since they're essentially sapient gorillas.
