The lack of organization in the items menu. Really, they could have put in a system to organize items. At the very least alphabetically. svcks for console users that can't mod, and I doubt they're gonna include it in an update.

this is a good one.

Then suddenly horse feet leave the ground in slow motion ... and he's flying ... and flying ... oh, i know this is going to end really badly ... and flying ... and flying ... and finally eeeh-aaw-horse-sound splat I'm dead.

Well game related: Forced quests, just by strolling in a certain zone, overhearing an NPC conversation, quest givers that make you go to another quest giver, that totaly changes the direction of what road you want your character to take, etc. This by far annoys the hell out of me in Skyrim. The bad part, we can not disaband a quest that we do not want to do.

Not game related: to many to post

That Lydia can eat -- loudly too, I must say -- constantly, non-stop, 24/7 up until the moment I enter my bedroom, at which point she repeatedly stands up, sits down, stands up in an apparent effort to make me think she's keeping in shape vs. eating all the dang time.

Worse yet, she never seems to gain a pound of fat nor lose a pound of muscle, yet as a follower she's now useless to me since she can no longer carry more than a knife and fork.

OTH, if I eat *one* sweet roll, I look less like a superheroine in my DB armor and more like a bottom-heavy fatty in spandex.

I'm beginning to think that she's there specifically to be the exception to the rule that the Ebony Blade is an otherwise (mostly) useless artifact.

Skyrim is one of the best RPG i have ever played, if not the best... but obviously there things i dont like about the game... you cant just love 100% of a game just because it ports an acclaimed game Title.

The things i hate about Skyrim are as follows:

* Not being able to Jump while Sprinting

* Not being able to attack while in air

* Not being able to Dodge at all (and no that sneak roll its worthless for dodging), you know they could just add a new animation that toggles the collisions off for a second or a nice roll forward like in The Witcher2 could have saved me tons of times flying through the air when ever i find a stupid Giant.

* Jumping Collision feels strange... honestly let me explain further, when ever you are kinda close to a wall or object your char will not be able to jump, and if it does sometimes it will be blocked by the object if not done correctly... it is FRUSTATING because some times i am trying to get away from a Snow Bear, Ice Troll or G-d knows what other creature... and just when i find a nice spot where i can get out of reach my char just cant jump and i get [censored], but this did happened even on Oblivion... amazes me that they were not able to resolve it in Skyrim.

* Wacky Dual Casting/Wielding animations, dont belive? just move the mouse left/right and look at your feets.

* Lifeless Player Character, what happened to the player head following npcs and smiling or frowning when he/she didnt like them? seriously...

* No acrobatics Perk, for [Censored] sake! why why why!? what were you thinking Bethesda?

After all these, i have to admit Skyrim is for me Game of the Year, Decade and RPG ever... but as i said, you cant just like 100% of a tittle because it would just be biased not looking at the bad things too.

My being OCD is the real culprit in this complaint but I wish the 'Favourites' menu was a bit neater. Instead of having all my things in one category all stored in alphabetical order it would be much better for everything to be stored in their own categories.

So if I entered my favourites menu I would start in my weapons section, then a quick tap right on the d-pad would take me to armour and another tap for magic etc.

I hate scrolling through my Fave's menu and trying to find something I have like 50 things in there already! I doubt it would be hard to implement and would make the time spent scrolling through the fave's much easier and neater.

You did say you wanted off the wall complaints, right? ;)

Again, no Feather spell. Even with Steed Stone and armor enchanted with Carry Weight, I constantly get over-encumbered (and end up spending a fortune on Strength potions to keep on hand because of it!)

Also, late in the Main Quest:
Spoiler
being forced to choose between the Blades and Paarthurnax/The Greybeards

Yeah, in Morrowind you get your reputation high enough, and even Ordianators start saying things like "Wealth beyond measure, friend." A lot better than "We're watching you, scum."

Those unavoidable quest-giving npcs are really, really annoying. The one that really bugs me is the Vigilant of Stendarr standing on the road in Markarth. I declined to help him, but every time I walk down the road he forces the dialogue screen to pop up and I have to say no again each time. Now I just avoid that street so I don't have to talk to him.

I play on PC with surround sound, so what bugs me are things mods haven't fixed yet or cannot.

As for the archery/sneak issue: I have 3 characters, one being a sneak archer: this happened all the time as I leveled from about lvl 3 to 30. I would sneak into range and lodge an arrow into the back of a NPC's neck... "I must be hearing things!" Yup, like little birdies chirping and a strong smell of burnt toast from the seizures you SHOULD be going into from that Orcish arrow in your brain stem. Attack damage should be location specific: like -30% on body and +30% on head, or at least something to show a body usually has more armor and a head can be a squishie mellon...

Another character I have (of the three) is a werewolf by night and summoner by day. Without any mod I once got in a bind and wanted to leave a battle in a hurry, so I left a poor summon to take the damage as I turned into a werewolf and sprinted away... but after awhile my stamina was completely drained so I decided to look behind me after that long run half way across the entire hold... to turn around and find all seven enemies I ran from plus twelve more right there!!!! WTF!!! A werewolf runs halfway across the Pale at a dire desperation sprint and not only do the seven enemies keep up, but every random enemy in the area latched onto the scent too? Dead... instantly... and then the grand melee started between the various enemies.

EDIT: You know, one that I forgot is identical nvde bodies for everyone. Why only 1 male and 1 female? Shouldn't there be at least four (at least, maybe more) for each six? Then the other age modifiers and such can take effect too. My four picks each would be (example of Whiterun people it would be good for in brackets):

Male Old - a bit of a paunch, sagging arm fat, slight spine curvature - good for them old Jarls and old shop keepers (Balgruuf the Greater)

Male Athletic - slim, light muscles, a few tendons showing - good for theives, combat mages, etc. (Amren)

Male Hulking - big muscles, veins showing, like a diet commercial photo - good for warriors, tanks and run-into-any-battle types (Eorlund Gray-Mane)

Male Generic - some muscles, smoother skin, no veins or tendons - for the rest of the lot. (Elrindir)

Female Old - again: a bit of a paunch, sagging briasts, slight spine curvature - good for them old maids (Olava the Feeble)

Female Athletic - muscles, a few veins, a few tendons showing, small-ish breats - good for any combat/stealth based female (Lydia)

Female Alluring - more curves, smooth skin, large-ish briasts - good for taverns wenches, bards, some casters, some shop keepers (Saadia)

Female Generic - nice average curves that show some muscles underneath - good for the average working/fighting/theiving/killing woman (Carlotta Valentia)

That you can shoot a guy in the face with an arrow, and then hide and he thinks it was his imagination.
The guard is not impressed that I know a few spells. (Total spells cast: 1. Ever.)
As far as I know, you can't adjust the HUD to fit your TV, so I can't see my compass.

Before "ranting" I must say that I love Skyrim, I only heard about it a couple of weeks before it came out, never played any of the Elder Scrolls game before [which by the way raises the question - should I?], and decided to buy this game based on 2 things - I knew it's a Bethesda game and I love Fallout 3, and it has Duel Wielding. This choice was the best one I made during my entire life.

Though, I am bugged by a couple of things -
- As mentioned here a couple of times - the stupidity of the game's enemies. I believe an arrow to the nose is the best way to make a person not question if "Is anybody there?" I think there should be a damage multiplier in the game, 2x for head-shot's and stuff. Along with that I think that a Headshot finisher can be nice.
- NPC's talking to you during a very important conversation between you and someone else, it even messes up the subtitles.
- NPC's feeling the urge to spit out words every single time you pass them and every single moment you stand near them, that along with the repetitiveness of their sayings can be quite annoying.
- Not having the option to make a horse wait for you somewhere, like near your home or the stables of a certain town, I hate it when Shadowmere gets in my way when I fast travel and stuff like that.
- When you fast travel, sleep or wait, the game saves at the point right before you were traveling, waiting or sleeping. I hate this. If I die or if I have the need of reloading, then I have to do all those transitions all over again for nothing.
- Map interface. It just bugs me. The fact that you cannot fully rotate it or zoom in / out, the size of the places' sybmols have compared to the size that the routes to these places have, the overall complexity of the custom marker and such.
- The inability to get rid of notes! You just can't! I had a bunch of "Beware the Butcher" notes that I had sold to the Whiterun court wizard, and these just lie there! This is so annoying.
- When you're in sneak mode and activate an ore vein, it mines it but then stays in a weird crouch position that is not sneaking, that's just bizarre.

I actually rather think of this post as "constructive criticism about the game's general feel" instead of a mere "ranti-du-rant I want to be a magical anoly superb wizard" thread. I see some really nice ideas here, Bethesda should take a peek at this thread.

Females that can't look muscular

Smithing is limited to certain armour types and unique/varied designs can't be learnt
Smithing encourages grinding out iron daggers to level up, without even touching the other types.
Smithing is overpowered, and none of the smiths can make a better steel dagger than a new player with one perk.
It feels sacrilegious to improve a Daedric Artefact.

New unlearnt enchantments should have a little sparkly *NEW* tag

Sprinting into bandits results in "What's the hurry"
Sprinting should have its own jump.

Jumping should have different animations for standing still, walking, running and sprinting.

Merchants should have a slow increase in available gold and better stock, based on how much custom you give them.
The best merchants in the game should have the best equipment from Level 1.
The worst merchants in the games should have a small increase in item quality.
Merchants should give more varied dialogue lines for repeat customers.

Followers should have more varied dialogue lines instead of just "I'm sworn to carry your burdens"
Followers shouldn't be present at your first College of Winterhold lessons, like an overbearing parent.
Followers should be more involved in the quests you’re doing instead of acting like an invisible presence.
Followers’ inventories should be able to be accessed in the merchant selling interface.

Armour should be based on percentages of points of damage (eg: 200 armour rating absorbs 50% of the first 200 points of damage), instead of reaching a cap of 85% of every attack that leaves little room for better armours in the future.
The matching armour perks shouldn't apply for headware, so people can choose not to wear them for aesthetics.

Spells shouldn't be made redundant, they should all be available at level 1; they should serve different functions and should become more powerful/efficient the more you level up in them. eg: I don't need a series of healing spells, the first one was fine, but should have just become faster.
Alteration seems useless without water walking, open locks spells, levitation or slowfall.

No bashing locks, everyone is forced to level the lock picking system.
More varied lock picking systems (different types of lock mechanisms, dwarven, cheap, expensive, strongbox)

Slow horses with no horse combat and suicidal tendencies.
Faster horse mounting/unmounting.
There should be a horse whistle.

Faster get up from knockdown animation.
Dragons should be more physical and should shove you around.
Dragons should not spawn in the city you've just fast travelled to, killing all the citizens. And there should not be a series of dragons that always show up in the College of Winterhold.
No one but you should be able to kill NPCs but the player character.

Short quest lines for the guilds.
Poor story for the main quest line, no journey and poor finale.
Quests have little impact on the world.
Poor voice acting: Get a director the make the characters act out the line with each other instead of just reading.
Unimaginative quests - follow the marker (OT: The destruction spell ritual was great, and the puzzles were great the first time)
Random quests (Animal Extermination; what is this, Daggerfall?)

Quadrupedal animals shouldn't be able to pivot on the spot.
Grey, de-saturated look.
All dungeons are brightly lit, some dangerous dungeons should be dark.

Melee combat is a mess.

NPCs should stop reading their book to talk to you on important matters.

Bounties should spread to a wider area based on the seriousness of the crime (eg: bounty area radius is based on the bounty level). eg: A serial killer should be wanted world wide.
A better map that you can zoom out all the way.
Map icons should not all be black and white, make them different colours, or at least make the player position marker a different colour.
The map shouldn't have clouds, or only clouds covering the areas you haven't been to.

Underwater should be prettier with bubbles/particles showing the volume of water.

Loading screens need to go, make the world one cohesive place.

Exploiting potions, maybe a stomach limit of three potions drunk max?
