That makes Delphine and Esbern killable, right?

Edit: Yeah, it does.

I think you'd be better off waiting for an expansion or something. The game story is like... half done. To me at least. You don't think they'd revisit some of this?

He kills them for asking him to kill Paarthurnax.

Not sure exactly why the two are holding onto a millenia-old grudge that their group adapted from the Akaviri.

Agreed. Well, it was also very satisfying to Fus Ro Dah Delphine from the path of the 1000 steps; the problem being that she was back in Sky Haven Temple afterwards though.

Without messing with their essential tags, I am rather amused by their current situation in my game. They sit around in Skyhaven 24/7 seething about what Delphine considers to be past wrongs. Their ambitions have been completely stymied because they are unwilling to follow through with anything for themselves. They don't have any friends or associates, but still refuse to speak to me. They are 2 people in a cold, dark ruin making unrealistic plans, doing nothing and calling themselves 'The Blades'. I think they are delusional.

Seems to me they'd be better off dead, and I'm not wanting to make them any better off.

-100 years later-

This is Voreyn Gilnith, famed archaeologist. I've come across a sprawling ruin that I believe to be akaviri in make of all things. Unforutunately not much remains intact inside save an interesting mural depicting the events from 100 to 300 years back, though someone seems to have desecrated it and drawn a mustache on Alduin. I attempted to decipher the wall murals but it is very difficult to get a complete picture when they're all covered with the words "KILL PAARTHURNAX" or pictures of dragons being pierced by what appears to be spears(*author's note: How primitive! Spears have been out of use for nearly 300 years now). Was this some failed greybeard that couldn't handle his rejection? Local forsworn wishing to cause anguish to the entire nordic population?

I discovered two skeletons. Both seem to have died roughly 10 years apart. One was lying in a bed, the other buried in a crude grave in some sort of training ground. Were they both this mad, or did one go mad after the other's death?

Whatever the case, it will be quite some time before I can make sense of all this. The graffitti will be making for slow going on discovering the ruins true inhabitants, but provides for an interesting diversion nonetheless.

Nice. Makes me wonder how they actually view themselves and what their contribution to history will be. Do they think they will be remembered as the famed pair that rebuild the Blades and ended the curse of dragons again.

I like Delphine.
Not trying to start an argument, and I've never killed Paarthunax because I always applaud effort; I'm just voicing a vote that I kind of "get" her and I don't hate her or Esbern at all.

The Paarthurnax Fix is one of my favorite mods. It completely removes The Blades asking you to kill Paarthurnax and all dialog, etc related to it, and it still allows you to do The Blades quests.

Yes, I never agree to slay Paarthurnax. He's too awesome for that. Which is quite a pity, because I really like Esbern. Don't care much for Delphine (as a character, that is, don't mind Joan Allen).

I think there should be an option to tell the Blades you won't do it and then another option to either break all bonds with them or kill them. Also, if you kill Delphine, Esbern should submit and be your BFF. Ya I know, it's not gonna happen...
