Orcs and Dark Elves should have infravision.

If everyone stayed consistant with the source material everything would be the same and no change would ever be made.

that would be the worst thing ever.

There are some things that simply do not need to be changed, for instance, evil races should always be evil.

So you want everything to use the exact same steriotypical tropes over and over ad nausium?

How can you find that fun?

How can you proemote such stagnation?

Yeah, that doesn't make sense in TES lore.

Is there a night eye spell? If so, use that

Yes, and I currently use it though it svcks because I have to cast a spell to keep it up and that makes noise which makes it harder for me to conceal myself on my Dark Elf who should have it naturally.

Believe what you want mate, but if that's trully how you feel you should start probably start playing a different game...

You started it (The thread that is) Plus he was talking about you and by agreeing with him about the thread you just reinforced his opnion about you.

But seriously, Elder Scrolls has it's own lore about Orcs (Orsimer) and Dark Elves (Dunmer), If I wanted Tolkiens or D&Ds versions I play those games,

And why are they 'Absent Minded Zombies' because we dare to disagree with your assertion that Skyrim should just be a cookie cutter world of every other fantasy RPG? (Which itself would obviously be a cookie cutter of DnD in your perfect world)

You can be "original" while still "making sense". These things are not mutually exclusive.

They only make sense if you've never played any RPG or read any fantasy book prior to playing TES. Because if you have, they make no sense.

Make sense according to what?

Ironically, you're making little.

I read a Star Wars novel before playing Mass Effect. Mass Effect makes no sense, for some reason the Wookies are all scaly and the X-Wings are missing. Also where are the lightsabers?

they do make sence if you realize that ES =/= LotR =/= D&D which all have thier own seperate mythologies

Chinese Dragons and European dragons both make sence even though they are widly diffrent in shape and actions

edit.
cuz, like. We just bought arkham horror, which is like our only tabletop RPGish thing atm? So i'm pretty interested in the whole D&D bit. But I guess, if this thread was just a fluke ... Bummer :(
