So this left me wondering, where is the ignore button on these forums? Because I would like to have this feature, although of course this desire is not born out of anything or anyone from this thread.

Even if some orcs and dark elves live into cave, they live in *LIT* cave, with torch and all. So they never "live in the dark".

And btw, orcs in TES are elves, nothing in common with the DnD/tolkien orcs.

And morrowind is not the underdark.

They only make sense if you've never played any RPG or read any fantasy book prior to playing TES. Because if you have, they make no sense.

I mention it because most of TES was contrived from D&D and Tolkien novelty, and yes many of the races are depicted in similar fashion. Orcs and Dark Elves are evil, they live under the earth and not around day walking races. They should have infravision.

Elves should be small and have a fairy king & queen and every now and then they should gather in the wild and offer people on crossroads gifts, and if they accept the gifts they should be abducted and turned into elves. Old elven lore dating before even LOTR or D&D were around states that!

You need to take your D&D out of your TES. While there are some similarities they are actually quite different.
