Patch 1.7 announced

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 12:13 am

Skyrim is a very good product......look at reviews, look at sales, look at average hours played. You're part of a VERY small, vocal group of people who are extremely critical of games for no reason. Very entitled......
Very good product? I have looked at reviews, and I have not seen one that does not comment on the mass amount of bugs in Skyrim. Look at Sales? Call of Duty has a [censored] ton of sales too, more than Skyrim. Sales don't mean a great product. I know quite a few people who stopped playing Skyrim, and refuse to buy anymore Bethesda products due to bugs. I'm not entitled at all. I just know business, and Bethesda is starting to become a popular developer, and if they want it to stay that way they will have to change how they do things. One such thing is releasing games that aren't bugged as hell.

Call of Duty has a [censored] ton of sales too, more than Skyrim. Sales don't mean a great product. I'm part of a very small group? No, YOU are part of a very small group. A group that will defend Bethesda no matter what they release, and no matter what condition it's release in. I know quite a few people who stopped playing Skyrim, and refuse to buy anymore Bethesda products due to bugs. I'm not entitled at all. I just know business, and Bethesda is starting to become a popular developer, and if they want it to stay that way they will have to change how they do things. Nope, I'm part of the huge group of people who love Skyrim...and have been playing TES games since Daggerfall. Also....what is this huge list of bugs lol. I have only encountered several myself...and none of them were game changing/breaking at all. Mostly graphics glitches or AI hangups here and there. And yes....you are critical and entitled. Young gamers these days lol.

Wow... Glad to see I'm not the only one who thinks they really didn't get much of anything done these past 2 months while my PS3 received 0 technical support from them.

You are one lucky puppy then. I have yet to see hjerim in all it's glory thanks to this quest. Good job there's so much more to sink time into - shame it had to be one of the less generic quests which broke.
I doubt that luck has anything to do with this. Blood on the ice is not bugged, that's it. There is probably a good reason that it doesn't work for you and you shouldn't wait for Bethesda to fix something that works. Look elsewhere. :)

that looks like a ridiculously small patch. and of course in a bit they'll have to patch mounted combat itself too. but maybe spears in one of these patches?

This should give you a slight idea, and this is only Xbox 360 bugs.

The image that came from Bethesda in the Tweet showed a character wearing a shield on his back as well as what appeared to be a new staff...

What is this about enabling kinect dragon shouts for different languages? Is the dragon language not the same in every version? I mean it is its own language...

I think they 'tweak' it for different accents. Germans don't sound the same saying "FUS RO DAH" as Americans, for example.

Very underwhelming patch, I don't really see the point of grabbing this on Steam considering that almost all issues are specifically Xbox360 or Dawnguard related.

This game has been out for so long now and the vanilla UI still doesn't even work properly on the PC version.

Looks like some other posters have already provided you links to bugs that are in Skyrim. If Skyrim was as flawless as you say, then there would be no need for the Unofficial Skyrim Patch, and that patch is HUGE, and only getting bigger as it fixes more bugs. That's why I switched to PC. But, Bethesda's dialogue bug gutted a lot of fixes for it, which is why I'm stressing that one bug. Other than that, the 1.7 patch is just pathetic for over a month of no support.

That's a concept art piece that's been around for ages. Doubt it's indicating anything new.

Don't start that here as I could go on for days what's wrong with humans, industries, governments, ect. Also, it's off topic.

If it wasn't for the fact that I'm more than happy playing Dragon Age right now I'd bang both your heads together.

It's not bugged? I've seen like 20 post on these boards about how that quest is broken. I've done the quest 4 times and 2 of those times it was broken and i couldn't finish it.
