Patch 1.7 announced

Post » Tue Jul 24, 2012 6:16 am

A few bug fixes and some optimizations are there, but I'm curious as to what the new feature added will be (if there is one). For PS3 player, the patch will be merged with 1.6.

I could just be mistaken, but I was under the impression that Beth wanted to add something new to every update (kinect, horse combat). I would like to know what this one will hold. It must be big as the patch list has very little on it.

And yes, my sentences are fractured and choppy, but I'm tired

Straight from their post;

Today on Steam you can grab the Beta version of the 1.7 title update. In addition to Steam, the update is planned for release on Xbox 360 and PS3 — we’ll provide more details as soon as possible. Specific to PS3 players, features included in the http://www.bethblog.com/2012/06/10/1-6-update-for-xbox-360-english/, including Mounted Combat, will be rolled into 1.7.
Release notes below:
Update 1.7 (all platforms unless specified

  • Fixed issue with Dawnguard Kinect-enabled dragon shouts for French, German, Italian and Spanish (Xbox 360)

No, free game addons like horse combat is a very rare occurance, patches are mostly for bug fixes, which it is in this case.

Oh, well.
There really isn't much tot his patch, so one could see why one would think there must be some big addition hidden in it...Maybe next time

That's it? Over a month of no support and that's the best they have? Where's the dialogue bug fix that gutted a lot of fixes in the USKP? Honestly, that list is really pathetic.

Well. That's an underwhelming patch.

They'd best be fixing the ability to change vanilla dialogue in the CK >:\

I find it funny that it's entering the PC beta when half of it only applies to the Xbox right now (the kinect and Dawnguard stuff). I really think there must be some hidden stuff in it, like spears! Probably not, but a man can dream

Interesting. I too was wondering the same thing, as it definitely wasn't possible for New Vegas. Might not've been possible for FO3 either, don't recall.

There had better be hidden stuff. If that's all they have when it's been over a month, then I will stop supporting Bethesda. With the economy in the U.S. the way it is, I have better things to spend my money on instead of blowing it on an incompetent developer. Also, where is the dialogue fix?

You do know that this isn't an MMO right........it's a single player game, they don't have to update the game at all, nor should we expect them to. Also....you already bought the game bud, you already "blew your money."

In the update can you make it so dragons fire doesnt affect you while swimming under water, and all other fire effects like spells and what not?

Blood on the Ice is a broken mess.
I've played that quest at least ten times: never had any problem with it.

You're right. But, if they don't want to fix their product, then I most certainly will stop buying them. I did the same thing with Creative Assembly, due to their incompetence. Business continues to grow if the business releases good products, and also supports them. Stop that, and the business will most likely fail in the future.

think its underwhelming?

try being part of the neglected having waited two months with zero support, the buggiest version of all platforms and still be getting the useless Gstaff lip service.

Skyrim is a very good product......look at reviews, look at sales, look at average hours played. You're part of a VERY small, vocal group of people who are extremely critical of games for no reason. Very entitled......

You are one lucky puppy then. I have yet to see hjerim in all it's glory thanks to this quest. Good job there's so much more to sink time into - shame it had to be one of the less generic quests which broke.

No, Skyrim has many, many technical problems. It's understandable for people to be angered by losing 300 hour saves and such over bad coding or programming.

Yeah it's still a great game and Bethesda put in a lot of effort trying to fix it at first, but there's still a huge list of major and minor bugs in the game that have been addressed by mods, so why can't Bethesda fix some of these issues for console players ? I think that's where a lot of the anger and confusion is coming from.

Yeah I only tried Blood on the Ice once and it worked. I couldn't visit Calixto however as his house was permanently locked (happens when you ask him for a tour of his museum outside his house) and so had the strange amulet stuck in my inventory for ever.

What is this about enabling kinect dragon shouts for different languages? Is the dragon language not the same in every version? I mean it is its own language...
