I feel like the frame rate is smoother already..
edit: But the load times are kinda long... Ill deal if its a more stable game.

19mb feels small for the amount of junk going on. Unless this one in a series of more to come.

I can't test it out right now due to Michigan having bad weather and interfering with my wireless signal...

Medal of Honor also got it's patch live an hour ago. Tuesday is usually the day we get updates.

I installed patch 1.01 just now and it does not fix an issue I am having where the game crashes when I attempt to enter The Strip from Freeside. Sadly, I guess I'll have to start a new game if I plan on finishing the main story (50+ hours in). :(

Just downloaded it myself. Let's hope it fixes some of the major bugs.

Veronica is still broke, she will not follow me after the quest "I could make you care" :(

Should I just start the game over?

Ok now she is following again, weird.

then she starts talking to me, and stopped following again. So I guess the patch just handled frame rate and crash's?

Unless our saves have something to do with it, I wouldn't delete those saved files. Maybe try a new game? we still have no patch notes or any information on what this 19mb patch exactly did. I wouldn't expect this one patch to fix everything or all the major bugs but at least it is something.

Try a new game folks and see what has been improved, fixed and so on. Post it back here.

The new patch created a game breaking glitch and it seems tons of people including myself are having the same issue since the new patch. Every time I enter V.A.T.S. now it freezes my console and I have to hard reset my PS3. This is B.S., the game ran perfect for me until this crap patch now I can't play it and use V.A.T.S. This game svcks as a shooter without V.A.T.S. thanks a lot for nothing Bethesda/Obsidian.

Like I said, try a new game and see if that issue happens or anything else. It won't all show up within a few minutes. May need to play around a new game for a few hours. If not then this patch didn't do what we thought it would do and therefore be an EPIC FAIL of a patch. We'll have to wait for the 2nd one.

Either Gstaff isn't given much information or he clearly svcks at being a community Manager. Give us vital information! what did this patch exactly do, fix or anything. So far it seems to have done nothing at all.

Gstaff, inform us.

Since 1.01 is now available everywhere for PS3, does that mean we can expect a newer and more updated patch for PS3 in the next few days to come?

Some gamers, myself included, found that if you wear a cowboy hat into the strip you don't get this problem anymore. Try it, it works lol

I installed the patch but it didn't fix anything. The game still stutters sometimes and crashed after playing for about 10 minutes or so. So far this game has been nothing but a waste of time and money.

Did you start a new game like I mentioned? it's worth a try. If you still have this problem after two hours or so post it here so we all know this patch doesn't seem to have done much.

So the fix is to basically start the game anew and play through the same content for 20 hours until you get back to where you were?

Perfect!...

Is that VATS bug affecting everyone?

Not me, 1.01 and I didn't get a VATS crash, the only crashes I've experienced were normal game engine crashes. The only thing I've noticed from the patch was there was an area somewhere in Freeside where the framerate would dip to 2FPS until your character gets out of said area.
I agree, people try do a new game and see if VATS is crashing or not regardless of saves.

I also suggest reinstalling the game data and the patch.
