No Patch Yet but DLC avail 12/21

Post » Sat Feb 19, 2011 11:53 am

its not just the path or the dlc..for me its the way they have handled the whole thing..theres doing things the right way and then there doing things the way they did it..released a broken game and never once said he we screwed up or were sorry for any inconvenience caused by the game..nothing at all to explain what happened nothing at all to even acknowledge theres a problem.. all i hear is we want more of your money..i dont believe they deserve any more of our money..

They still havent patched it. When are they gonna fix the game, when new consoles come out?!?!? You know if they made the matrix Neo would have said, " I know Kug *ERROR*" Does anybody know when they expect a patch to be released. Its either they fix it, or I trade it in for black opps. This is depressing.

Just from the story I don't know if I'll get the first DLC, I'll wait for proper reviews (nothing from the whiners on this board), from the write up it doesn't sound like it'll even be as big as the Mothership Zeta DLC for FO3, but we'll see. But yeah, my game works perfectly fine (for the most part, no disastrous glitches anyway)

As for the patch, it sounds like it'll more than likely be out before the DLC. I've said this same thing before here (but it's clear no one reads threads anyway since the same ones pop up daily) but you were going to spend $60 on this game anyway if it worked. Put it on the shelf for the time being, pretend like it wasn't released yet, play something else, and wait for the patch. Crying about it solves nothing, being bitter solves nothing. It was a false start, they released the game too early, and they're fixing it. If they were charging extra for the patch, I could understand the complaints, but you'll eventually get what you paid for, so calm down.

This is the action that the developers love - Pay money to them while the community irons out the kinks. This is why console games have become as bad as PC games - Release the game, collect the money then patch later. This action is now the model for game releases because the gaming community puts up with it. Sad.......

I havent ran into any corrupted saves at all or any game breaking glitches. With that said, im still not buying the dlc on day 1. Ill wait to make sure it doesnt add more glitches to the game like previous dlc did for the pitt in fo3. Like i said many times before, dlc probably will be very buggy cause they know most people that complain or not will still buy it like blind sheep

I hear you but what's done is done you know? I just don't understand all the [censored]ing and moaning about things no one can change. There's no going back in time to not release the game for another 2 months, hindsight is always 20/20, and it's possible that of their testers, less than 1% experienced the DLC glitch (which is fixed on the PC with the incremental patch so now those users are fine), so they said "well we'll figure that DLC thing out later, less than 1% is acceptable" and then it got a little worse once it was out in the wild (I've not had the DLC error and I don't know anyone personally who's had it either, and even if there's 1000 people complaining on these boards, that's still not even close to 1% of the reported 4 million sold). The gaming community puts up with it because people in general are getting dumber by the generation, and instead of actually not pre-ordering games anymore like they keep threatening, everyone continues to do so, which just motivates developers to get the game out sooner before those people get impatient and cancel their pre-order. And the very next Elder Scrolls or Fallout, people will still line up at the midnight release, and have either completely forgotten about this, or have rationalized in their mind that "Oh, they wouldn't do this again to us, would they!?".

Well is'nt that marvellous, lucky old you.
Do you have any other contributions to the XBox 360 issues forum that would be beneficial apart from 'I have no issues'?

I see, so we buy a game and it does'nt work on our console.
So we apparently just wait until we can play it. Even though we paid £40+ for it.
It can just sit on our shelves until a patch may or may not arrive.
Thank you Yoda for that mind blowing expertise.
I'll just throw another few £20 notes on the fire...i don't need them because i can throw them at games that don't work.

Do not understand the kind issues people are having? I bought this game 2 days after it's released I played for 10hours and my save got corrupted. So I decided to put the game away I wait for a patch...

I didn't think I'd be waiting a month.

Every game has bugs, but this is game breaking. At this stage compensation wouldn't do much for me, it would be nice... But I still won't have the confidence to buy a Bethesda/Obsidian game again, at least not new and not for €50.

I am also not impressed that MS certification that let this game get released in the first place.

Tell that to the people who lost all of their saves.
One person on here had 21 corrupt saves.
Answer that.

I am well aware of that.
However, coming onto an Xbox Issues forum to say that you are having no problems and everyone should wait for a patch really helps nobody.
It merely serves to frustrate people like myself who wasted £40 on a game that is no use except a very expensive coaster.

PS.Bbuy the DLC at your peril because its possible that it'll screw your game up. Then you can come on here for legitimate reasons and complain that your game is fcuked as well.

I have shelved my game because i have no desire to lose my 60 odd hours of gameplay, which i have spent exploring and avoiding the strip.
I have around 3 uncompletable quests due to bugs.
I have lost around 7-8 hours gameplay due to the black screen save corruption bug.
Thats not even mentioning the numerous stuttering, frame dropping, inventory hogging quest items, etc bugs i have.

But i always put my games on the shelf and avoid them until they are fixed.
Hell, why bother buying them on release date at all, just ring the company before release, ask when the game will be fixed and just wait until then.
Or just buy a game in October and expect to play it in December...oh wait,i did that already.

Ridiculous.

Unless they plan on having the game running perfectly by then (and hey, it's only TWO MONTHS after release).

It's going to take at least one patch the size of a download content to get this game in a shape that is actually playable without having to dodge certain quests or certain areas without fear of having the feeling of playing Russian roulette with your game saves.

I actually don't believe any of the people that say they have played the game 40+ hours and have had no problems. It's impossible to not to encounter a single quest glitch after 40+ hours. Also why would someone who isn't having any issues trolling around the Hardware/Software issues forum? No Life?

I think the rest of us are looking for answers, I know that I'm checking everyday so that I can get the heads up of when the next patch comes out, as are probably 99.9% of us.

For those of you who haven't had any problems while playing NV...Try actually doing sidequests, especially "Debt Collector" in Freeside. It'd majorly [censored] up any attempt to get into The Strip without an old cowboy hat.
I have 65 hours on this game and just did that quest. Now its [censored] up >.>
