May I add an http://venturebeat.com/2012/07/25/valves-gabe-newell-talks/? I found it interesting and he also talked about what Windows 8 would mean for both many of PC players and companies like Bethesda, so not much off topic.

Disappointed. I wasn't expecting a release of Dawnguard today, but at least a release date. Hopefully we'll hear some good news tomorrow regarding the DLC.

Only spell applicable to Bethesda: Smite PC and PS3 players by taunting them with a possible release of Dawnguard. My spell: Teleport the executives of Bethesda to the bottom of a very deep hole until they decide to give us Dawnguard.

Good thing about COD. DLC is exclusive for thirty days but we get it right after the 30 days is up.

Thank God I wasn't the only one to come to that conclusion. So many people on these forums naively assumed that as soon as the 30 day deal is up; insta-DLC.

I think Bethesda needs to be reminded who makes them the money. (Us.)

Wait COD dlc release exactly 30 days after the deal is up? How come they can do that and bethesda can't? Unless there is some part of the contract with microsoft preventing them from doing it.

A month from now is too late for the PC. I as well as lot of other PC gamers will be too preoccupied with guild Wars 2 to even given a moments thought about Dawnguard.

Activision are extremely greedy, no chance they would wait longer than the 30 days to make more money. Which makes Bethesda's actions even more confusing.

I know right!? Many people here want to give bethesda their money, but they are making it really hard for us to want to throw money at them as I keep saying august/early september game releases.

It's funny, you know.

I've seen things similar to this happen a great many times. The delay of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood for the PC, everyone was on the Ubisoft forums trying to scavenge any possible release date. Then when release day actually came, Steam had some confusion with the actual date and so we waited on the Steam forums until the community manager actually came from the Ubisoft forums and addressed literally every question and confusion.

Something similar with a MMO i hold close to my heart now; SWTOR (Star Wars The Old Republic). Lots of controversy, flame and drama over the game's release, the 1.1 and 1.2 patches...

While obviously not the same, i can still compare people's frustrations and mentality to my previous experiences.

Whenever DG releases, i'll buy it. I'll hold no grudge.

At least after 30 days we got GStaff to post on the forums. Maybe that is a good sign?

With the multitude of (PC) games coming up even in the next two weeks, this approach baffles me.
We are human after all.

Contrary to popular belief....a human has a very finite amount of both time and money to spend.
There are many competitors about to make a strike for that very finite amount of time and money we have.

It makes me laugh, everyone complains about the wait and the PS3 issues ( I had them really bad) but you'll all buy it on the first day/week pretty much confirming they can do what they like and you'll still buy it.

Greediness in that case is good though.

Well they better hurry up. There are many other games coming out in between August-October that I have more interest in. Matter of fact, if it come out during that time or after, I'm not getting it. I will be far too busy with other games. Then again even if it had come out today, I wouldn't have gotten it. Nor would I have planned on getting it immediately on the day of it release for PS3. The only reason I even want Dawnguard is so I can edit the appearance of my character.
