This is wonderful news. Knowing this is going to make all the skeptics shut up hopefully.

I like shorter, better written quests to just length.

Compare the main quest in vanilla FO3 to the main quest in The Pitt. ofc it's subjective but the story in the Pitt was much better than the mainquest.

That isn't what I was saying that about. I know they said they would be shorter.

However, she said the "90 quests = 25 fo3 quests" which she has nothing to back that up.

Hm, so you know the length of the quests?
I think not.

At the moment it's all speculation. none of us except for the devs know anything about this game.
My post was speculation, and I'm sorry but this being a forum for an upcoming game I thought we were allowed to speculate.

And it's he. ;)

I don't put much value in other peoples numbers when it comes to size of game or time to complete it. I rarely rush through games so it usualy takes me longer then the minimum anyway and if a game is really good I'll replay it. I could finish Portal in about 3 hours, didn't stop me loving it or playing through it three more times.

Quality > Quantity. As long as you can see the quality you know your money has been well spent.

You can usually tell the size of a game by the guide book.. ... F3's Hardcover guide book..(first one without any dlc stuff yet.) Was 496 pages long. Paperback was 464 pages..... Game of the year edition (with dlc) was 752 pages.
The F:NV book (hardcover) is 464 pages long... paperback is 432 pages... That's less pages than F3.. Either it leaves a lot of stuff out, there's actually less content or maybe he figured out a better way to compile the information.
All in all I'm thinking length of play will be about the same as Fallout 3. F3 I had about 300 hours logged.. Oblivion I had well over 400... As long as this game lasts around those times I'll be happy.

The author knows what he's doing now though. FO3 book may have been larger because he was exploring more, explaining more. In this one he can cut to the chase and give the nitty gritty.
