Slightly annoyed.

How is it so hard to display release time in appropriate timezone for purchase?

Not that hard.

On store/wtv page load.

* Query Database and return client time zone
* 8AM + client time zone

BOOM. Still have to wait 'till three, but then at least I know that and I don't drink the coffee, set my alarm instead, lol.

My own fault I guess but still. Cammon! Do it! The purple spider monkey is pointing and howling like he wants you to do it. Listen, can you hear him in your mind?

(8AM is 12PST in GMT, btw)

Hope you all enjoy the game when you get it!

Cheers!

OK, so I got svcked into pre-paying, staying up past midnight CST, and can't play the game until 3am? Sheeesh! That svcks! At least Steam should have release times to coincide with each time zone! THAT would make sense to me :}

Heya, folks...

I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that it'll be okay. Annoying as this crap is right now... you'll all be playing Fallout: New Vegas in a relatively small amount of time... (relativity being relative, and all) and then you'll forget all about being inconvenienced by Valve and Steam. Instead, you'll be busy getting inconvenienced by large green-ish brown-ish freaks of nature... or rattle-snake-headed-dogs... and large, venomous scorpions.

So don't fret, friends.

The time is nigh... even if we don't know precisely what time that is.

Until then... be patient... and spend your excess energy reading the graphic novel... or chatting here on the forums about what you want to see first... or even go back to Fallout 3, and tip cows!

Whatever you do... know that Fallout loves you... and that without you, the loving player, Fallout would be nothing. Nothing at all.

Atom be praised...
... go forth, and divide.

Interesting - maybe the Aussies are going to get to Vegas first after all :)

One would think that the coordination of unlock times for the game was well-thought-out in advance, and Bethesda, Obsidian and Steam would be watching today. If it is indeed an error, it will likely be fixed within that 4 hours now that we are in morning business hours on the east coast and Bethesda employees are all over the forums and such as we speak. I also expected a call from Bethesda to Steam to confirm the unlock times so that the midnight release parties will go off as planned without mass riots.

I for one am in the 3AM crowd, so I'll have the game for almost 3 hours before I can play it. That made up my mind for me, I'll crack into the GECK, decompress the BSAs and get under the hood while I'm waiting. There is much the modders are excited about to learn!

I am so pleased that the game has been telling me that the game was out on the 19th up until the last hour where it became the 22nd!

Two more days of waiting.

I'm sure all the folks who got this unlocked under an hour ago will just tell me where to go but the fact of the release date changing like that is kind of ridiculous and I'm wondering what the point of pre-ordering something is if you have to post-play it.

Whatever.

Did anybody have the option to pick which HDD to use to install? I don't want to install to C:\ but I wasn't asked.
