Got another one. How people think that the sole purpose in life is to get rich. Really just sad if ya ask me.

It's not???

Random things that disturb me? Alright.

I'm a very heavy caffeine addict, often drinking more than 5 cups of coffee every day. So I've got a few things to say about coffee and caffeinated beverages these days.

I'm continually annoyed at Starbucks market dominance. As much as I thank it for introducing high-quality coffee to the market, there are some things about their products I simply can't stand. Worst example would have to be the new coffee-maker they installed in my college's bookstore. The thing's supposed to be a regular coffee-brewer, no espresso, steamed milk, or anything. For some reason, in spite of it's simplicity, the damn thing's four feet tall. They couldn't the band new machine to work this morning, so I had to go with a cold monster, with the weather in the lower 50s outside. I guess this is really more generally about technology being unnecessarily complex. Why in the hell does their coffee maker need to be any more complicated than the pot I have at home.

In addition to being a full-time student, I also work part time at a grocery store, so I've got a few things to say about customers. My store's located by a newer, higher income suburb, so it's only natural that our customers spend more money. What I don't get is why their orders have to be so damn huge. I check out at least one customers every hour who buy more groceries than their basket was designed to hold. So then, I have to walk all the way outside, and grab a larger one to fit all their groceries into. Fun, right?

What annoys me about Starbucks (besides them roasting their coffee until it's damn well burnt) is their insistence on all of their stores being the same. They actually squelched a New York City franchise holder who tried to offer delivery (all businesses in Manhattan deliver; it's the way the city works) because he was doing something different from all of the other Starbucks.

Anyway, thread closing for post count.
Exit Dogsbody, singing
On a tour bus bound out of Dublin Town
One morning last July
Passed a sweet colleen, wearing cut-off jeans
Thought she winked as she caught my eye

I asked the driver if he did know
Where this lovely lass hangs around
He said, she's the queen of the steam machine
At the Starbucks of County Down
