Hopefully they will cut on the number of containers. I prefer quantity to quality, so instead of mindless copypasta of zingillion junk crates they could place few containers with valuable loot in not so easy to find/spot places. THAT is what I actually call an effort that will earn you something, plus the aspect of exploration is endlessly more interesting and fun for me than "hey-oh... ANOTHER ten crates to look through! *rolls eyes*".
I remember that the junk inside most of the containers is one of the things that really made Fallout 3 boring for me quite fast. Who in their right mind would store junk and for what? Not to mention, remember, that the world is 200 years after the post-apocalyptic events. That is ALOT of time, think about it. Most of the junk would be gone, especially in inhabitated areas.

Post-apocolypia is made of junk! Junk and improvisation is what make post-apocalypia tick.
