If Talos isn't divine, he'd be in Sovngaard

What is the 'new entropy engine'?
I have not heard of this before.

Lol, gaming with the ultimate time sink, because you have to clean up the dust in your house, and work out to stop your muscles from atrophying. :P Entropy ftw! Well, maybe not... perhaps someone was also a little too zealous in the time sink department when designing reality?

Hah!
Great concept.

Me, I propose to simply drag the planet a bit further out in orbit and slow the rotation down a tad so that we can have 8 days in a week and 30 hours in a day ;)

That will happen... If you have the patience to wait 1000 years. Also, the moon will break out of it's orbit. Food for thought.

I think I love you. I already live a 25 hour day in a 24 hour world.

370 million years ago the day was 22 hours long. It takes 50,000 years for the day to get one second longer. I think he'll be waiting longer than a thousand years to improve his productivity. :P

If Talos is a divine concept composed of multiple personas, then how close are the Thalmor to the truth in trying to get people to believe that the human aspect of Talos (mostly in the form of Tiber Septim) is not divine? (And I realize that the Thalmor have their own agenda that's not dependent on disseminating the truth to the general public, and they probably know Talos is actually divine). But could the idea of a single, mortal human not being able to become divine be true?

Arkay and Dibella were mortal beings too, but thier spheres of influence do not directly oppose the Thalmor goals. Mannimarco even achieved Divinity (for a short time).

[I gave up living more hours than a day can provide twice in my life: the first time I retired, in 1980; and the second time I retired, in 2005.... Not EVER going there again, unless forced to by circs FAR FAR beyond my control. Having to be 3 or 4 people for a 1 person salary wasn't cool either....]

Now, as to the on topic bits.... I do think, given how things have gone in the games so far, that no - a "single, mortal human" could not become divine. Beth could change that of course.... And.... oh pooh, bradleyh - I keep forgetting about those two. So probably it's not out of the realm of possibility after all.

Do you mean you are never going to retire again, cos you like needing more hours than you have?
I really like your sig, where's it from?
Btw, I read somewhere that if you put humans in an environment deprived of outside cues, they will mostly start living a 25 hour day. Seems we are all from 180 million years in Earth's future and aliens sent us back into our own past in order to seed our own existence.

I love how gaming is a dynamic world where 'reality' is in flux, all dependent on the caprices of market anolysis and developer inspiration. Really, if someone wants to make a rule in the future that individual, mortal humans cannot become divine then that's what it will be. (Although I cannot ever see that being applied to TES, because TES is too cool to ever make anything black and white, among other things, and they have such a rich history of paradoxes, flexible concepts and sophistry to draw upon).

My sig: I wrote it. It's part of one of my many WIPs.... MILLIONS of words, literally. Probably I will never live long enough to finish any of them; perhaps my daughter will pick up where I left off.

I must agree with your TES is too cool anolysis. I have played TES since Arena, and I'm STILL in awe of the fact that the entire world-system can be anything I want it to be....

And no.... what I mean is I'm never going to work for anyone but myself again.... I have a small web design and management business. Suits me....
