Any other console Gamers feeling left out?

if there's one thing that really pulls in the ladies it's spending hours and hours making modifications to a computer role playing game.
I happen to live with a female modder. She created the Elder Scroll's first texture pack and one of Morrowind's first total conversions: Morrowind4Kids. In fact I met her on these forums and our mutual love of Morrowind modding was what brought us together. Modding has been a shared interest ever since. One of her daughters met her husband through gaming and both of them are now getting interested in modding Skyrim together.

So, yes, in my experience it does pull in the ladies.

*raises hand* Of course, not only am I a "gamer nerd" (if considerably older than a "chick"...
Chick is more about personality, attitude, and looks to a certain extent than age. Check Helen Mirren and Julie Christie - they're still chicks. ;) :P

Some form of "hay guis were doing this atm ..." would be nice though.
Yeah, it would be nice.
I just assume they're too busy with Dawnguard and the inevitable patch to accompany it.

Ever been to the PC section of this forum?? Screwing with the game seems to lead to nightmare-ish scenarios where you can't even play the game.

I'm so glad I don't have the ability to completely screw everything up.
I don't usually mod my PC games. When I do it's usually a simple mod or texture pack.

This.

My wife is a Gamer. When we were dating, she lived in North Carolina and I live in Missouri. We met on a gaming site similar to these Forums. We used to Skype/date, I'd be playing Halo 3 or Oblivion while she played Assassin's Creed, and we'd have our time and our discussions over Skype while playing.

When she moved out here and we got married, we still game together. She loves TES series, but she doesn't like the controls for the game, but she loves watching me play it and loves the depth of the stories. In turn, I'm her navigator for her Assassin's Creed and Fable games.

My kids are being raised by the both of us in a Gamer Household. We're a whole Family of Gamers.

So yeah, it also pulls in the Ladies for me, even though neither my wife nor I mod, we love firing up Skyrim on my laptop and trying mods of all types. We're just fascinated by some of the stuff that the community can come up with.

The old argument to make fun of Gamers by saying that our hobby, our lifestyles, repels the females is more incorrect with every day that passes. Female Gamers are on the rise, they're not such a rarity any more.

I've always been a ps3 gamer, since Oblivion, fallout ect. So obviously I've never used mods or steam.

Obviously Bethesda's games are full of bugs, however we've always dealt with them, and been patient for them to release patches. As we have no other way of fixing these bugs.

PC gamers can use mods to fix bugs, add cool things, use steam ect.
Yet with new GameBreaking bugs - namely the 'Atomic Nirnroot' - in Skyrim, (ones that PC players can fix), we've been waiting for a patch.
Doesn't it feel like console users are being neglected by Bethesda, while we've had more problems than PC gamers?
I don't own a PC anymore. I'm perfectly happy playing on my PS3 and 46" LED HDTV with my 500W surround sound system. My wife, on the other hand, has complained of the booming sound coming from the living room at 2:30 in the morning. I've had very few problems with Skyrim and nothing game-breaking. I feel for those that have had problems, though.

It's one of the many advantages PCs have over the consoles, console commands are invaluable in any game.

You don't have mods on your console? I download them onto my Ps3 and have never had a glitch.

I'm just too lazy to transfer and mess with the .ini files for my Xbox 360 copy of the game. I just have two copies. one for Xbox, one for my laptop. lol

But yeah it isn't hard, just a little time consuming to get some mods on one of the consoles.
