Reachman is a race (mix between Bretons and Nords), who formed the Forsworn faction after they were driven out of their homes.

"Reachman" is no more a race than "New Yorker" is.

The guards know the Khajiit traders work as fences (minor spoiler) other Khajiit has no problem but they are rare.

Pretty natural, an intelligent race who has not hit each others heads with warhammers for generations would prefer better climate.
Not so many Khajiit in Bruma either, one in the mage guild and perhaps one other.

It's so cold an no cloth to cower my tail, have I been an Argonian I would changed my name to frozen tail. Also all headgear flatten my ears painfully, written letters home and warned them about this place.

No I can not go back again, long story involving an dwemer airship, the daughter of the Thalmor ambassador, the chicken and the wabbajack, ask M'aiq abut it, his father was also involved, no his father was not named M'aiq.
I am going to use that when i make an argonian :P

Because he kind of is a racist bastard, and doesn't seem to be the tactful type. The Stormcloaks are all "Skyrim for the Nords!" and you're decidedly not Nord (and worse, of a race that's allied with the Thalmor; I don't think even Ulfric is dense enough to miss that).
Actually... I find Ulfric to be one of the more reasonable Stormcloaks. He's culturalist, but not necessarily racist. "You're a Nord born into a Cat's body" at worst.

Doesn't really explain the discrimination in Windhelm, though. The Argonians are forced to live in an Assemblage outside of the city, and they're hard workers (in fact, they're made to do work that the Nords don't want to do), while the Dunmer are allowed to live in the city but are constantly harassed and not given help. Any problems for non-Nord citizens are secondary, while Nords are taken care of.

Khajiit merchants are not allowed in cities, other khajiits are accepted, but obviously very rare because of the climate and discrimination. It is similar to the dark elves in the slums and Windhelm. You dont see very many dark elves, because nords hate them. You dont see many argonians, because nords hate them. You dont see many khajiits, because nords hate them.
Dunmer live in Windhelm, Riften, Whiterun, Winterhold, and more. Argonians live "in" Windelm and Riften, and there's a couple in Solitude. The only Khajiit I've seen inside a city is the assassin that's sent to kill you, and I got the impression she had to sneak in (there's also the one in the College, but that's not a city, and it's still a far cry from the number of Dunmer and Argonians you can find living in cities).

The game certainly gives the impression that Khajiit in general aren't allowed inside the cities, not just the caravans.

There seems to be more to that story as well (The Welfare state of Ulfric's predecessor made Dumner become complacent, ungrateful Bastards.)

There also aren't very many khajiit around in the first place. The game does emphasize Elsweyr and Skyrim's climates and cultures are opposite of each other.

Which seems a bit backwards to me, honestly. I get that Khajiit prefer the desert, but they're covered in fur. Next to the Nords themselves, I'd expect Khajiit to be the most tolerating of Skyrim's cold climate. Definitely more so than the Dunmer and Argonians, at any rate.

I'd actually say the Nords' and Altmers' cultures are polar opposites. Clashes are inevitable, sure, but if an Altmer and Breton can live in Windhelm, of all places, I see no reason some Khajiit couldn't adapt to live in at least some of the more pro-Empire cities.

Yeah, after I hired the cart to go to the other city and the driver said to my khajiit "have you heard about the cat-people who live in the deserts? " I couldn't really immerse myself anymore. Also, khajiit werewolves still get the "Is that...fur coming out of your ears?" from guards. Well DUH, I am a khajiit for crying out loud!

Precisely the same thought that sprang to my mind as well. It's peculiar that the only race with built-in fur coats would have a problem with Skyrim's weather.
