Sufjan Sarethi, a Dunmer of house Redoran, born as the walls of Ald'ruhn folded to the Daedric army of Mehrunes Dagon. His house fled to the mainland in the wake of the oblivion crisis, and he grew up calling a Redoran stronghold home. He grew up in the traditional way of the Redoran prince, learning the ways of war so that one day he might defend the homeland of his ancestors.

Sadly, that day came far sooner than anticipated. Red year shook all of Morrowind, and what was to follow was a waking nightmare. The Argonian horde poured into Morrowind, and while Sufjan rallied his fellow Redoran in defense of the stronghold, they were broken back, and Sufjan was once again forced to flee.
Broken, believing himself to be the last Redoran prince, he went into exile in the forests o northern Cyrodiil. Living alone in the wilds, he meditated on the Tribune way, becoming skilled in Resoration and Conjuration.
It was the Great War that forced him back into contact with the outside world. His idyllic forest life was interrupted one day by an Aldmeri scouting party. He was forced to combat them, but As he emerged victorious, one of the Altmer fled, and he was declared a fugitive against the Thalmor. With no hope left in Cyrodiil, he fled in the only direction he could-north, to Skyrim.

My one an only character; for the moment is a Nord thief whom belongs to the Thieves guild and the Dark Brotherhood but is studying to become a Bard and a Mage....yes, I know...too much going on with him.

My next character I'm thinking of playing a Khajit but dunno what class he/she will be.

My first character was/is (I've temporarily abandoned him) a Khajiit named Scar (yes that's a lion king reference haha) that works in the Thieves Guild and fights with war axes, destruction, and archery. He lives in Whiterun after tricking their steward into giving him a free home, but since joining the guild and enhancing his income he's looking to purchase in Riften. He's always done right by the people of Skyrim except for having sticky fingers, and as a result he's learning to become a Robin Hood-esque individual. He is not currently interested in marriage as his lifestyle is too dangerous in his mind. He is typically seen in his improved Thieves Guild armor, but will switch over to an Eleven set with Krosis' Mask when things get really hairy. The civil war doesn't interest him in the least, and the dragon quest hasn't captured his heart yet.

My current character is a female Orc named Brynhild. She is a Companion, and fights in a very traditional sword-and-shield style but is a first class archer as well. She currently lives in Whiterun and is also about to purchase property in Markarth (she loves the views, architecture, and security) and Solitude (to be closer to her Legionary brethren). She believes the Empire is broken but seeks to repair it through valor and example. At the moment, she is consumed with both helping the Companions and assembling the greatest armor and weapons collection possible to use for the Civil War. She is seeking out any powerful weapons even if it means mixing with Daedra. Upon finally learning how to smith and improve a set of Daedric armor, she passed her signature dragon bone armor to Lydia as a thank you for standing by her through some awful situations. She uses her Daedric sword, shield, and bow now as primaries (having relinquished her ebony sword, bow, and war hammer to Lydia as well), and carries an Orcish burning dagger (family heirloom) and Mehrune's Razor as backups.

Gunther is the name of my Nord Warrior who mainly uses archery and sneaking to kill all his enemies without them even knowing he was there. Takes great pride in his handiwork with bandits and those who stand in his way to fulfill his destiny as Dragonborn. Also has destruction and restoration magic abilities which he uses on the odd occasion that it is more effective than a well placed arrow.

Oh I get all that, Jarik, my specific problem is that most of my characters are typically based off of characters within my own fiction. And I guess, if I just made a random Breton not based off of one of my characters, I wouldn't have the emotional attachment to him.

But I acknowledge that's a personal, OCD thing.
I have similar issues, I say start writing about a new character, start some artwork on said character and create him/her in Skyrim say a month from now, in the meantime, play your Breton how he was meant to be played, when you feel like switching to a different character type, play your Wood Elf and look forward to the time when your new character will be ready to get captured on the Cyrodiil border by the Imperial Legion.

Riden: My Breton Rogue, Level 34. He's Level 100 in One-Handed, Smithing, and Enchanting. Is specializing in Sneak and Illusion though for actual gameplay.

Riden was born to a thief father in the High Rock Thieves Guild and a Mage Dark Brotherhood mother. Overall, his childhood was rather normal though. Just like other children, Riden specialized in what his parents specialized in. Basically sneaking around and wielding swords along with specializing in illusion magic. His parents were surprisingly nice and respected Riden's decision when he decided to leave and pursue his own ventures.

A few years after Riden left home, he was a suspect for several investigations into his parent's jobs. Riden fled High Rock and then got caught in Darkwater Crossing. Headed for the chopping block.

Went with Ralof because he was confused and went with a fellow prisoner, fearing Imperial Legion from discovering who he is. Now, Riden is torn between joining the Stormcloaks or the Imperial Legion.

He's the Guildmaster of the Skyrim Thieves Guild and a follower of Nocturnal.

S'varr - Khajiit Sneakthief/Battlemage and great-great-great grandson of the Khajiit Nerevarine and Champion of Cyrodiil, Josephus. He ended up in Skyrim after leaving Elsweyr due to his distrust of the Thalmor, which his people now hold in high regard. Kills Thalmor whenever he sees them. Sided with the Stormcloaks not because he likes the Nords, but because he saw the emperor as weak. He murdered Titus Mede II under the authority of the Dark Brotherhood and is the leader of every faction in Skyrim. He is also a vampire and, as such, has no qualms about using necromancy to become powerful. :3

Leonidas (Spartan of ancient Greece reference intended) is a Stormcloak soldier forever frozen at the Falkreath Camp because of a glitch when I was told to retake Falkreath and went to get it using a certain meeting...and was left with unchanged orders.

[My name] is a Legate in the Legion, Listener in the DB, Guildmaster in the Theives Guild, whatever the top rank of the Companions was, Thane of Whiterun, Thane of Solitude (Almost...anyone got 25,000 gold laying around?), Master of shouts (Bauss), and is fleeing Odahviing because Shadowmere picked a fight with him.

http://i1224.photobucket.com/albums/ee378/jhallard/Colleen13.jpg is a Nord Dual Sword Battlemage, whose companion/partner is Muiri. Colleen is a heroin of the people, much in the way Mjoll the Lioness is in Ripten. She is also currently neutral in the fight for Skrim.
